Is it recommended to use Anthrax? How is the performance/battery life? Thanks
Why does Anthrax sound so good?

With Anthrax, the evo 3d speaker is really pumping when listening to music. I can't say the same with other kernels although ButteredToast comes pretty close.
Looking for new ROM and Kernel, Have questions
Sunday 08th of January 2012
So I have MikG 3.0 with Anthrax right now, Ive tried freedom and Anthrax on this rom, and from what I read battery life on sense roms just are not going to compare to AOSP roms. So I'm looking to possibly make a switch, even though I love this setup, the battery life just isnt there for me. Im lucky if I can get 8 hours out of a battery with moderate to heavy usage. So my questions are, can anyone recommend a rom/kernel that supports hdmi out for things like streaming netflix from my phone to my tv. That's is what I mostly want to do with the phone as of right now, and Im not sure if all kernels/roms support that.Just before anyone asks, I am plugged in while streaming, just regular things like texting, and surfing now and again seem to eat my battery alive.

Friday 15th of February 2013
Can anyone give me a link to the latest Anthrax kernel on anthrax-kernels.us? I've joined and am now allowed to download files, but can't seem to find the file under files and then kernels (there are only two).
AnthraX Kernel Updated
Wednesday 27th of March 2013
Just wanted to share the news that Chad has finally updated AnthraX over at his site! Patience has paid off. You can find it in the Evo 3D CDMA section, under the thread "8660 Developers". Chad has not released a flashable yet, but he has released a download with the zImage and modules. Transferring these to a flashable zip will get you going. I can confirm this working with PACman 4.2.2! Nothing broken All thanks go to Chad.

Jelly Bean rom with anthrax support
Wednesday 05th of June 2013
I have used harmonia for a long time now but want to upgrade from ics to jelly bean. I have tried many of the jelly bean roms talked about around here, but none of the ones that I have tried has support for anthrax kernel. I want to use anthrax because it gives me swipe to wake, usb otg, great battery life as well as overclocking, and usb to hdmi capabilities with an mhl adapter. I have tried flashing anthrax over lots of different roms but just cannot boot into them after installing anthrax.Does anyone know of a jb rom that has all of these features? Anthrax would be nice to have but as long as these features are included I would be happy.

Is anthrax dead for Evo V? Looked in the downloads section for our phone but didn't see any attachments. Other phones had kernels available
Anthrax Site Down
Thursday 27th of June 2013
Unfortunately, I have just found out that the Anthrax Kernel site at http://anthrax-kernels.us/ has been shut down. When navigating to this site, it shows that the domain expired on the 26th of June (yesterday) and is pending renewal or deletion. This is the first time I have ever seen this page. Hopefully, this isn't the end of Anthrax, but I fear the worst. Our phone's kernel seemed to be almost dead (though I heard that Chad was planning an update) anyways. Nonetheless, I am very grateful for Chad's contributions to our community in making an amazing kernel.
kernel won't allow new kernel to be installed.
Wednesday 19th of March 2014
Ok so I'm running mobster remix on my HTC evo v 4g. I wanted to mess around with kernels and there was a lot of talk about the anthrax kernel so I downloaded it and installed it. Since then I haven't been able to install a new kernel and when I attempt to my 4g and WiFi will not work and my settings confirm I am still running the anthrax kernel. Also I can't connect my phone to a PC via USB. It just isn't detectable unless I turn the phone off and manually mount it through twpr settings. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this kernel or have an stock nandroid back up they can email me? I would cry tears of joy for a back up. I didn't make one because I was a noob when this happened. Posted via Android Central App
