StraightTalk AT&T APN setting issues.
Sunday 09th of December 2012
I set up my prepaid StraightTalk AT&T APN settings as recommended (though I did leave some of the already filled in parts as they were). I was consistently getting less than 1 meg down and about 1 meg up. Then I changed the proxy to blank and the port to blank (recommended from an xda thread) and my speeds went to 5 to 7 meg down and still about 1 up. I have 4 bars of H on my signal indicator. I was wondering if any of you have different APN settings that might be working better. Here are my current settings (getting speeds of 5-7 and 1): Name: straight talkAPN: att.mvnoProxy: Not setPort: Not setUser Name: Not setPassword: Not setServer: Not setMMSC: MMS proxy: 188.8.131.52MMS port: 80MCC: 310MNC: 410Authentication type: Not setAPN type: Not setAPN protocol: IPv4APN enable/disable: APN enabled (this is grayed out with a check mark in the box)Bearer: Unspecified Thanks for your help.
About to give up! AT&T APN settings
Friday 25th of January 2013
So I came from a AT&T Galaxy Note with a LTE plan. I just sold it to go with Nexus 4 and put my sim card in. I have tried just about every APN setting out there. I live in a good area with HSPA+ speeds and i'm lucky if I get 1mbps. I am just looking for any new things to try or new APN Settings. Thank you so much for your time and help.
Add/Change APN settings in AT&T galaxys4
Friday 03rd of May 2013
I am trying to set up my AT&T S4 for NET10 service provider. Everything was going fine until I needed to add/edit the APN settings so that I can use data and MMS. How do I make it so that the APN settings can be added/changed. Obviously AT&T has this blocked out. Thanks for any help. I am willing to learn and make changes, but I just need to know the steps and a way out if necessary so that the phone doesn't become a paperweight. more info....I have a Samsung Galaxy s4 SGH-1337. It is locked to At&T network but I am using it with the NET10 service provider which utilizes the AT&T network. I need to be able to change the APN settings for NET10, but when I go to the area to edit/add this information I cannot change any of the AT&T APN settings because they are greyed out and unchangeable. Will UNLOCKING my phone allow me to be able to change the APN settings?? I can currently make calls and texts on the AT&T network using the NET10 service. But, because I cannot change the APN settings, I cannot access Data or MMS. I'm trying to figure out if unlocking is the r

at&t APN settings for Nexus 4
Tuesday 27th of November 2012
Hey, I'm currently trying out APN settings from xda for my Nexus 4 on at&t after noticing that my speeds were fairly poor with the default APN. XDA settings increased my speeds dramatically; I was getting around 3 to 4 Mbps down with default settings but now I'm getting 8 to 13 Mbps down. I'm fairly new to APN changes and settings but thought I'd post this in case some people are looking for settings with at&t. APN settings: EDIT: Let me know if anyone knows about better settings or anything else I need to know.
APN for Straight Talk reverts back to AT&T APN
Friday 21st of June 2013
I just bought a S2 Skyrocket from Amazon for my wife. It was new and unlocked, but arrived with the AT&T APN. As I was going to activate the phone with an Straight Talk (AT&T) sim card, I contacted Straight Talk's Bring Your Own Phone department to get the correct APN for the phone on their service. I went to the phone's APN page, selected "Add APN" then entered the settings Straight Talk provided. I saved the changes and selected the new APN for the phone. I tried to delete the original AT&T APN, but all the phone would let me do is "Disable" it. The Straight Talk APN worked fine yesterday, getting us very good down and upload speeds, however today I could not get the phone to connect to a webpage without using Wifi. I went back to the APN page and found that the phone had deleted the Straight Talk APN entirely and had reactivated the AT&T APN. I re-did the setup of the Straight Talk APN and again the phone was working fine. What allowed the phone to delete my APN and revert back to the original one and how can I stop it from happening? I tried to
Straight Talk AT&T APN settings w/ the Nexus 4

Here's a (long-winded) taste of my experience with getting a phone set up for use on Straight Talk with an AT&T SIM. Hopefully, this will help someone out there who's been searching everywhere for these settings in an attempt to optimize their speed and consistency of service. I originally started my testing with a Verizon GS4 because I had a spare one in my office and, since it's unlocked, should have worked perfectly fine with the ST SIM. I created the APN as instructed by ST and had initial early success. About three or four hours later, data and MMS stopped working. A quick reboot fixed the issue but the problem kept coming back always with the same resolution. I started digging around on forums for alternate settings. Eventually what I took to doing was experimenting with mixing and matching settings until I came up with a set that worked consistently over time and through reboots but even then data wasn't very fast. I knew that going from Verizon's LTE to HSPA+ was going to be a compromise but I wasn't very happy with how my tests were turning out. Next, I scored a Nexus

After having T-Mobile sim unlock my HTC One I switched to an At&t GoPhone plan. I couldn't easily find the APN settings anywhere so after some tinkering here is what I am now using. samsung Galaxy S3 unlocked at&t apn settings?
Thursday 26th of September 2013
I have a Sumsung Galaxy S3 unlocked AT&T phone that I just switched to ST last night. The email they sent me to set up the new apn is not working. I have seen a lot of post about it but have also been seeing that they have switched to new settings recently and have not updated the information on the ST site. Can anyone please help me with the settings so I can switch my phone? I also am trying to switch a HTC Vivid as well.
Verizon S3 I535 / AT&T DATA / APN SETTINGS
Sunday 26th of January 2014
Hello Android Community. Let me start off by letting you know that I am new to anything Android. I have always been an Apple fan until I recently picked up a Samsung Galaxy S3. Lets just say, I had a change of heart. I have just bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 I535 (Verizon) Which is unlocked. I have the phone set up under Network Mode: GSM/UMTS, the phone works makes calls sends text etc. However, I need the proper AT&T APN settings for this setup. Will I be able to pull 4g data from this phone? Also is there a way to get rid of Verizon's annoying message, " This is not a Verizon sim ". I still have a lot to learn on the Android platform, but progress is being made and thanks for any help provided by the community. In the mean time I will be searching this forum.
