I normally use my iPod ( yeah yeah i know) to listen to music while im in the car but my cable broke for that and now Ive been using just the standard AUX cable, my problem is that it only plays in the left speaker. I love android but that is one area where they are lagging behind apple. EVERYTHING is made for iPod. On second thought they probably copyrighted everything so google cant do anything about it. Is there anything I can do about this? is it a faulty nexus or is google just lagging behind?Id rather not spend anything over 25 bucks for something if I can avoid t. It seems like the aux cable would work just fine : (
Aux output not loud enough
Thursday 27th of September 2012
Ok so im having a massive issue regarding Samsung Galaxy S3's volume output specificially out of headphones (any) AND the car stereo Aux jack.So for comparison i played the same song on the same headphones on my Iphone 4 and then my GS3 and the GS3 on maximum volume is barely halfway compared to the iphone 4. When i plug it into the car aux input you cant hear it at all even with the car stereo volume being on maximum...all my mates reakon the GS3 is shit because of this reason..Ive been reading that the international version has some restriction on the volume output due to EUROPEAN regulations but guess what samsung AUSTRALIA has no laws so if this is true wtf...Does anyone have any real solutions to this problem that doesnt involve jerky distorted equilizer amplifications that totally ruin the song? Some sort of app or rooting? If anyone manages to resolve this problme i'll send you a reward through steam or paypal
Droid Bionic AUX car stereo cable won't fit
Monday 17th of June 2013
I know this has been asked before but I couldn't find an answer. I bought a 3.5mm aux jack at BestBuy and it worked great for an ipod but not my bionic. Returned it and got a DYNEX 3 foot 3.5mm stereo audio cable. Once again, it doesn't work. I don't get it because I thought droids used a 3.5mm audio jack? I have no problem plugging in head phones or anything and it's not the cable because it works for ipods. I've tried to put it in another droid but the two rings on the jack don't fit in like it should. Is there a specific Android aux cable? Oh and I drive a Ford Taurus with a compatible radio but that shouldn't affect anything.

i cant hear anything when i connect AUX wire with my htc one?
I got a problem dont know whether it is from the aux or the phone or the car?
Wednesday 30th of October 2013
I could not hear sound while my phone is connected to the aux but before I used to hear sound through the car speakers now it doesnt. I recieve a message whenever the phone gets disconnected from the aux and it says: "This sound effect works only through earphone mode only" (first time to get this message). I restarted the phone and still the same problem. Btw it is a galaxy s4.
Quiet AUX output after installing kitkat
Sunday 06th of April 2014
Hello android forums,2 days ago, I upgraded my S4 to andoird version kitkat 4.4.2 on my GT-I9500 and I noticed that when I play music using AUX cable in my car the phone sound is very quiet. I used 3 diffrent cables, and 4 different devices ( i pod, iphone and blackberry) to play the same song at car volume level 15, the sound was loud on the 3 devices but it was very quiet on the S4. My S4 used to play music as loud as the other devices before I upgraded to 4.4.2.Edit: the voume is the same from before when i use headphones, this is just an aux output problem Is this a problem for anyone else? How do i fix it ? Any help would be great, thank you
Audio Priority Aux Over Bluetooth.
Sunday 20th of April 2014
I have an issue that I've seen brought up but never resolved. Specifically, I hook my phone with a 3.5 aux cable to play music. I want to hook my Bluetooth headset, which has controls on it (Play, skip, etc.) But when I connect it, it plays the music. It seams a simple priority issue that the phone favors Bluetooth over the aux. This was something that was done on my previous phones (Was holding on to Symbian for awhile) so it should be possible. My searches for a solution have yielded nothing, so I'm hear to ask.Is their a way to edit the priority of audio output to Aux over Bluetooth? Or some other method that will solve my problem? I've tried changing my Bluetooth headset settings to turn off the media playback but that also disables the controls. (Thought I had it for a minute) I am currently using a workaround for this. When I need to skip to the next song. I turn on the headset. wait for the connection, skip song, activate voice command and turn off the headset while it's waiting for the command. This uses a glitch so the audio doesn't stop when I disconnect the headset.
Problem while calling over headphone
Saturday 12th of July 2014
Hello, so i have been using the HTC one M8 for about a month, it works so well and i haven't seen many issues.. but i faced this one. Whenever i have a call over my headphones/aux plugged in i have this high pinch voice that irritates me, the voice becomes unclear and hard to hear and have to switch to the speakers instead, over the ear and speakers both works well... Somehow i know that its not a hardware issue because at some points it get fixed by itself at few calls, also the fact that music is clear and nice to hear its not a headphone nor aux problem Anyone knows a way to fix this? Anyone have the same issue? Thank you. Posted via Android Central App
LG G2 Very Poor Volume Through Aux Port To Car Stereo
Saturday 23rd of August 2014
I have a very nice stereo system that puts out some obnoxiously loud music. Once I attach the LG and turn on my music I lose half of my volume and some clarity whether using it with the aux or the Bluetooth. I know when you connect it to the AUX port, as a safety feature it turns the phone output volume down each and every time you connect to the AUX port. I swear that is the most irritating thing ever, I'm not a two year old, if I want to blow my eardrums out, its my problem. Irregardless at full volume I still lose half my volume available to my stereo. I know it is an LG problem as I did not have it with my iPhone. I am NOT a teenager looking to annoy the neighbors I am a 40 year old mother of two. I just want it to work properly. Verizon has replaced the phone 3 times and now refuses to do it again. My question is; is rooting the phone the only way to fix this, or is there another way? I really don't want to root the phone as I know I would probably break it. also, recently it has been losing connection with the Bluetooth and crackling or coming in and out of reception I did not
