Zooming on Google Navigation
Saturday 15th of January 2011
I used Google Navigation today for the first time in a few months and the first thing I noticed was that I was zoomed out far too much for my liking. I can't for the life of me work out how to zoom the screen in whilst still keeping the route active. I can zoom into an individual part of the map but as soon as I do that, the blue navigation logo appears in the bottom left of the screen which needs to be clicked in order to see my live position. As soon as I do this, the map reverts back to being zoomed out again. Could anyone tell me what I need to do to change the default zoom when navigating? Cheers

What happen to the built-in blue Navigation Icon? When maps updated, I lost that icon. Is there a way to get it back? Thanks in advance.

Since Forced 4.3 Update can not revert to Google Maps 4.0 No Blue Icon ((((

I am so upset because AT&T forced 4.3 update on my phone. For a month constantly ignored then yesterday message displayed could no longer be postponed. Now the blue Navigation icon is missing & even when I do uninstall google maps update doesn't revert to 6.0. Is that because 4.3 won't allow it to and if so is there a work around. My phone was already set up to allow manual updates only which is how I kept blue navigation for so long & never updated maps. but when 4.3 was forced it looks as it removed blue navigation app.Thank You.

Lost Google Map and Navigation icons
Thursday 14th of November 2013
Hello all, I have a rooted T989 with Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and cwm recovery installed. I did a nandroid backup onto my ext sd card. I then uninstalled the Google Maps update (ver 7) in application manager which reverted back to the factory version (ver 6). After that I found that the Maps and blue Navigation icons are missing. Couldn't find them anywhere. When I went to play store to see if I could download Maps again, it only has the open and update buttons, not the install button, which led me to believe Maps is still on the phone. I then went to the app list but still could not find those icons. Instead I found 3 green android figures in the app list. When I pressed on one, it opened Maps. When I pressed on the other, it opened Google Navigation. I tried rebooting the device and also pulled the battery, to no avail. Would anyone please guide me as to how to get those icons back. Thank you in advance for your help! Cool

model- lenovo s820.i recently updated my mobile to kitkat but i had a lot of issues with it so i downgraded it back to its base version 4.2.1 from the service center. and now the navigation is not working properly. when i open the navigation and search for a direction, it loads the route correctly. and the blue arrow(that navigation icon) is also placed in the right place where i am. but as i start moving, the blue navigation icon does not move. it remains constant. what could be the problem.? i tried reinstalling the maps, made a factory reset too. no use.any solution? thank you.
