Sprint Customers Can Pay Bills, Manage Accounts, and More with Sprint Zone
Tuesday 20th of July 2010
Today finds Sprint announcing their free Sprint Zone application to help customers pay bills, check voice and data usage, and manage accounts. Available as an icon on the EVO 4G and Samsung Intercept, the app lets users get the most out of their Android device and discover new applications. Sprint already has a strong reputation of recommending apps so we expect the Sprint Zone app to only add to their efforts. “The Sprint Zone will be customers’ mobile source for accessing account information, learning about their device and discovering applications that will enhance their experience with Sprint,” said Len Barlik, vice president of wireline and wireless services for Sprint. “We are excited to offer customers who are always on-the-go an interactive and relevant mobile application that allows them to manage their account and discover new content any where and at any time.”Features of the Sprint Zone: My Sprint – tools and information for customers to manage their accounts, pay bills, view voice, text and data usageMy Sprint News – keeps custom

Well, I guess it should not surprise me that Sprint made it so we cannot disable Sprint Zone with the ICS app disable feature. But when you go into Sprint Zone, there is no menu button option. There is no "..." symbol, there is no options button, there is no longer a menu key. So I can find absolutely no way to turn off Sprint Zone notifications or any other settings for Sprint Zone like I could on the Evo 3D. Am I missing something obvious? -----UPDATE EDIT: As you will see later in the thread, Sprint DID omit the menu button/option, so there was no way to set preferences for notifications. This ability to get into the menu was added in a later update, although you still can't disable Sprint Zone.

[GUIDE] How to bypass Sprint/VirginMobile Throttling :-)
Thursday 25th of July 2013
Legal Notice: I'm not a lawyer but I think that this is legal and does not violate the August 1st TOS. Use this guide at your own risk.Hi Everyone,I found this very simple trick to bypass Sprint/VirginMobile's throttling. I hope you read the legal notice as I'm writing this on my phone and I won't be retryping the notice. You will need your MSL code you'll need to call and keep asking for it. (I got a reasonable person on the 3rd try). First type on on the dialer app: ##data#.Now click edit: you'll need to input your MSL code. Now go and remove or null the proxy servers. (DSS/HTTPD/RSTP).Reboot your phone. You have now removed throttling...(I add photos later)

Installing Sprint Zone onto my Nexus 5?
Tuesday 03rd of June 2014
Hey all, I just activated my Nexus 5 from Google Play onto Sprint, and I was wondering if there were any way I could install the Sprint Zone app. Its the only Sprint bloatware I actually used. I tried finding it on the Play Store with no luck, and I was hoping there would be another way to get it onto here. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Posted via Android Central App
Sprint Zone LG G3 Update
Wednesday 12th of November 2014
Hello fellow G3 user's! I wanted to inform you guys of the Sprint Zone update and my experience of it. The new user interface is awesome looking, but to summarize my post. The update was bad in terms of total battery hog! Before... my over night discharge would be about 1% but 2% at the very most. Since the update happened. My discharge rate is nearly 1% per 15-30 minutes. So I uninstalled the update and revert back to bone stock version (I don't remember what the number is) and all is back to normal. I wanted to give my experience/solution to the fellow Sprint user's out there in case they're experiencing the same problem. I also forgot to mention the update also brought a Sprint Games App folder which to me is more bloatware. Going back to the bone stock version removed it. Hope this helps! Cheers!
