waking the screen without disconnecting your call
Sunday 12th of August 2012
When on a call holding the phone in my hand, the screen blacks out, as it's supposed to when next to my face, to prevent accidental "button pushing." When I move the phone away, the screen comes back on. However, if I am using the internal speaker or a bluetooth connected speaker, the screen "times out" according to the timing set in the system display settings. (I have mine set to one minute.) But as far as I can tell, the ONLY way to get the screen to turn back on is to press the power button -- and that DISCONNECTS the call! Which means there is no way to look at my calendar or the web or any other app while on a speaker call (after the screen has timed out).Is there any other way to turn the screen back on without disconnecting the call? Or, Is there a setting somewhere that prevents the screen from timing out while on speaker or bluetooth?
my phone keeps disconnecting me from calls
Tuesday 29th of May 2012
MI have had my phone over a year now and I have had no issues then last week my phone started disconnecting me from calls. Some times it does not happen at all, other times I can talk for a while then it does it, and other times when I place a call and the other person answers or if I answer a call it will disconnect me a soon I hit the button to answer or hear the other person say hello. This is really getting on my nerves.

Turning off display disconnects call?
Thursday 02nd of May 2013
I'm coming off of a two year old Samsung Infuse. With my old phone I would make a phone call for use with my bluetooth headset then turn off the display for the duration of the call. If I try this with my HTC One, the call is ended immediately after pressing the button in the top, left-hand corner to turn off the display. Am I doing this wrong or is there a way to disable this function? The reverse is true also so if I'm in the middle of a call and my screen turns off, I'm unable to turn it back on without disconnecting the call. Any advice?
Call Waiting Disconnecting Current Call
Wednesday 28th of December 2011
All of a sudden, if I am on a call and another call comes in, my current call gets instantly disconnected, as well as the incoming call. I have never had this issue ever before. Is this a Verizon issue or a GNex issue? Any ideas?Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using DroidForums
Bluetooth Not Disconnecting Thus Causing Huge Battery Drain
Wednesday 20th of March 2013
For some reason, my phone isn't disconnecting from my car's Sync system when exiting. I usually discover it when checking GSam and seeing Bluetooth Share as a top power drainer. Then I'll notice the BT icon is blue, forcing me to toggle BT off and on to break the connection. This started about a month ago and I can't think of anything that's changed to cause it. It connects without a hitch nearly every time (have had maybe one or two isolated instances of it not automatically connecting) and audio app and call quality is fine. I'm running rooted stock ROM with Faux123's 011m kernel, but this has been happening since 006 or so. I haven't seen anyone else complaining on the XDA thread with similar issues.

Call Waiting Not Working (Calls Disconnecting) - Samsung Galaxy S5
Wednesday 14th of May 2014
Hi All, I am using my Samsung Galaxy S5 (Verizon) for my work and I recently noticed a flaw in the phone. Can someone please confirm this if they are also experiencing this particular issue. Here is the scenario: 1) Dial a phone number and begin your call # 1.2) While keeping the call # 1 active, ask someone to give you a call.3) Accept the incoming call # 2, and speak for a few seconds.4) Disconnect or 'End' the call # 2.5) This will also end the call # 1 and you have lost both calls. Here is another scenario: 1) Dial a phone number and begin your call # 1.2) While keeping the call # 1 active, ask someone to give you a call.3) Accept the incoming call # 2, and speak for a few seconds.4) SWAP the calls from #2 to #15) End the call #1.6) This will also end the call # 2 and you have lost both calls. BOTTOM LINE: Disconnecting any one call during call waiting will automatically disconnect the other call as well. Any solutions or ideas on how to resolve this issue? I attend a lot of conference bridges and audio trainings for my business work and I appreciate a quick help on this probl
Screen After Disconnecting a Call
Tuesday 27th of May 2014
I'm sure most people know this already, but some may find it useful...So I've read a few complaints from people concerning this screen that pops up after completing/disconnecting a call. I've finally had my phone long enough to, personally, see the value of this screen. A few days ago I called my daughter but got no answer. After two attempts, I simply tapped "Message" to text her. Today, I dialed a number and got a busy signal. Tapping "Call" redials the number. It seems quite handy to me And the screen will close by it's self in about 4 seconds you do nothing.
