factory reset - Get rid of virus that downloads apk
Saturday 16th of February 2013
My android tablet, a zoom, has started to download apk's at random without any initiation on my part. I have the don't allow foreign apk's to be installed thing checked so they can't get on to the tablet. Has anyone else caught this? I don't see anything else on the internet about it and I have done a search with Avast to no avail at finding anything.I suppose that the easiest way to remove it is factory reset. If I do that does google remember all my apps and download them instantly?Anyway any I'm grateful for any information.
Help! How to make Android tablet malfunction?
Tuesday 02nd of April 2013
Hi everyone,I gave my young brother an android tablet as a graduation gift last year. And he is currently working for my dad in our store. But the problem is, he does nothing but sitting with his eyes sticking on to the tablet's screen playing games watching movies during the business time.So I wonder if there is anyway that I can make his tablet 'looks' malfunctioning or been infected by virus? Or something running in behind occupying most of the tablet cpu's resources? And I can just undo it easily anytime? Is there an app for that?I really need this to make him to get a live, this is the only way I can do it without getting into any argument.Thank you all in advance, hope the problem will be solved soon.Freemen.
WA-NA-BEE Tablet Owner

I got the ok from the boss man. I can get a tablet if my laptop + tablet costs less than the MacBook Pro he was going to get me. I've found a really nice laptop so now I'm looking for a tablet. I have a Samsung Epic now but it's hard to read documents or ebooks on it because the screen is well, small. And it's not much good for presentations at work either, so I really want a tablet as a "bridge" between my desktop and my honking 7-8# workhorse laptop.I'm an IT geek who does web, network and security. I've been known to do some development - when I have to. So I'm not an android tablet user - yet. I'd get an iPad but I've become really disenchanted with Apple. First they tried to weasel out of fixing my video card. Now this whole OSX virus thing and them telling the service reps who they call geniuses and who I call id10Ts to a) lie about it and b) not to fix it. I really like OSX because the network stack in it is about a billion times better than Windows and for what I do, that's critical. But I can run Linux and Ubuntu really has come a very long way with their desktop v

So, I just want to suggest you to recording the music from the music streaming website with an audio recording tool on PC. Fresh, isn’t it? Not complicated to get free hot music.2.Use free Android apps to download free music for AndroidOf course, there are some free Android apps letting us download free music on Android. But note that free music may be something kind of old and unpopular. Then all you need to do is download a free music download app, install and launch it, and finally search and download music. For free music downloading app for Android, I would like to suggestDow
Possible Malware pop-up on tablet
Wednesday 28th of August 2013
My question: are there virus' or Malware that can put pop ups on your home screen? My story: I was using my tablet and suddenly a pop up came up on my home screen. It said that there was a virus on my "generic android device" and it suggested I go to a website and perform a scan to get rid of it. The pop up not only used the word "generic" but it didn't have any name on it. The headline was just "anti virus protection". It looked a lot like the virus/Malware pop ups I would get on my computers and once you click on it or go to the website, it starts messing with your computer. So I didn't touch it, I just pressed the home button. The pop up disappeared but my chrome browser opened and took me to a plain website that told me I have the virus "tapsnake". Which I have never downloaded nor heard of until after I googled it. And to "protect my generic android device". I closed the browser and tried to do some research on this but couldn't find any. The details: I am using a non rooted, up to date, 32g Asus nexus 7 tablet. Not sure if that

Getting Pictures off of Tablet
Wednesday 12th of February 2014
Hello, my sister has an Acer Iconia A510 Tablet that is constantly rebooting. It loads up runs for about 20 sec. and then reboots. I think the problem is that there are 2 anti virus apps on there as it comes up saying virus scan mobile scanning SD card contents just before it reboots. I would just reset to factory default but she wants the pictures off of it before I do this. Now I am new at android so I downloaded SDK tools in the hopes of pulling the pics off in fastboot mode is this possible? if not can I use ADB to either remove the apps or get the pics? my computer does detect the tablet just before it reboots but it is not long enough to transfer anything off. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Lenovo announces 1080p YOGA Tablet 10 HD+, starting at $349
Sunday 23rd of February 2014
Lenovo has announced their newest Android tablet, a 10.1 inch YOGA tab with some pretty high-end specs. The YOGA Tablet 10 HD+ sports a 1080p screen, a powerful Snapdragon CPU, 2 GB of RAM, and a pretty large 9,000 mAh battery, and like the other YOGA tabs you get the handy little kickstand that lets you stand the device up in a variety of ways for reading or watching movies. It comes out of the box with Android 4.3, but Lenovo is planning an update to 4.4 later on. You’ll also get an 8 megapixel rear camera, a 1.6 megapixel front camera, up to 32 GB of internal storage and a micro SD card slot. It’s not going to compete at the extreme high end of the market, but at the right price, this tablet could do very well in the midrange market.Lenovo is also preloading the YOGA tablet with its own suite of DOit apps, which includes a sharing solution called SHAREit, a virus protection and backup solution called SECUREit, and a photo gallery application called SEEit. These apps promise to improve your tablet experience with the YOGA tab.You can expect this tablet to hit shelves so
Why can't it handle Facebook anymore?
Monday 25th of August 2014
A few months ago this tablet worked perfectly- now it can barely handle Facebook. Model 210, Android version 4.1.1 I've run virus scans many times and found nothing amiss. This slow-down happened overnight, but I don't remember the exact date. It just started working really slow. Was there some new update to Facebook that makes it super-slow? It just keeps getting worse- now when I try to scroll through my newsfeed it gets stuck for minutes at a time. This all started when I updated the Fox News app, and some other apps at the same time. I'm hesitant to do any further updates ever cause just like Windows, it seems whenever anything updates on Android it makes it 10x worse. Note that any "snarky" comments such as "get a new tablet, dude" will be reported to a forum moderator. The Recession is far from over and I do NOT have the means to buy all new equipment every time there's an update just so it will work properly.
