Development question

Monday 01st of October 2012 / androidforums.com
Hello,I apologize if this is not the right section to post this, I looked over the boards and this appeared to be the right spot.My question is as follows;I am creating a app that uses WebView to allow customers to use our eTrak webapp through their phones. When browsing to the eTrak url, with in the Java Console you can view eTrak checking the devices/pc OS and then checking for a folder called etrackclient services. Which is located at C:etrackclient services, for this to work on the phone I need to have the app install the etrackclient services folder on the phone upon installation of the app. On top of that I need to know the exact directory path on the phone, so I can tell etrak where to look when someone attempts to view etrak from their phone. To sum things up;1. Can someone provide an example code on how to get apps to install files upon the phone.2. Can someone show me where apps are saved on a phone and if/how to edit the directory so I can have the app save the files in a certain location.I thank anyone and everyone for their time reading this and any help you provide.

How to write call blocking app

Monday 25th of August 2014 / androidforums.com
I need to create an app with a function that* Is registered with the phone, so that any calls between certain hours will cause the function to run, for my app to approve the call.* Get the hour of the day (0 to 23)* Get the contact's name* Determine if the number is unknown* The function will examine the caller and decide if the phone can ring/vibrate normally, or if the call will be blocked (neither ring nor vibrate)-------3 years ago I attended an android app workshop to make an app in Eclipse. I'm sure a lot has changed since then.I don't know anything about making android apps and I don't have many hours to do this, but I'm an experienced developer in a few other languages, and on linux/windows, but almost no Java experience.Would it be possible to get this done in an hour? Can someone please give me a step by step procedure of what must be done to achieve the above.Something like (I'm making this up, this is an example of what I'd like)1. Create an account at google appstore developer blah2. Download and install blah IDE3. Do something with the phone4. Create a new project of thi
