Hello all. How can I download say - - videos directly to my SD card on the Samsung Galaxy Note? I have downloaded almost 10 gb of movies from Media Hub and running out of on board memory but I have inserted a 32gb SD Card. I think I can move these movies using File Manager however I am not sure if they will play since the files will be in a new location. Thank you for your help in advance. SD card not reading videos????

Tuesday 12th of March 2013 / androidforums.com
So ive bought my new 64 gb sd card. I had a few avi files and mkv files that i had downloaded via utorrent. The videos work conpletely fine on my internal storage but when I move these files to my sd card the files say "cannot play this video" I assumed it had to be the format so I downloaded a converter and converted them to mp4 format. Then tried again to move an episode onto ny sd card. It came up with the same problem. ive tried for hours on end trying different videos and players and nothing has solved this problem. When i put on the first two season which are in mkv file format they worked and continue to work. After those files everyfile or format that ive tried seems to not work. Please can anyone help me with this problem. I was really excited to get movies and shows on my new 64 sd card and bow am really aggrovated about it. please give me an answer im out of options. Thanks x

externsl sd card, hd

Friday 05th of August 2011 / androidforums.com
Just started up my new Acer. Read numerous threads and spent a long time regarding following question. I can't locate the external sd card (32G) directory. I have downloaded ES File Explorer, File manager HD and using these can't see where the sd card is located. Also, I downloaded Moboplayer. Can I copy .avi movies to the external sd card while attached to my computer, then install same card into Acer and watch movies from card or must I move to internal storage? I also think I'm understanding that if I want to read from an external hard drive I must first insure its formatted "FAT" rather than "NTFS." Correct? Thanks, Steve

Finding and Saving Videos to micro SD card

Tuesday 10th of September 2013 / androidforums.com
I recently downloaded two videos from the 'Play Store' onto my Samsung Note 10.1 I have a mico sd card, and I'd prefer to save my media (videos/pictures) there, however I'm not entirely sure now this is possible.I thought I'd be able to change the download destination pretty easily, but I haven't been able to find any option for that. I also can't seem to find the actual move files anywhere on the device.I did select for them to be downloaded not just streamed, I was alerted when the download was completed but not where. I searched for them but no luck. I've found a few threads online saying you can find the files in the android/data/com.google.android.videos folder but a few random empty or unopenable folders is all I find there.I am able to play the movies, even with wifi shut off. I imagine it's because they have been stored for offline viewing in my cache. Is this the best I can hope for?Is there a better place to purchase/download movies so that I CAN save them to my external card?If this isn't an option what is the most productive thing I can do with the tablet and the micro sd

Find downloaded Movie and move to SD Card

Saturday 08th of February 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi, I redeemed a Digital copy of a movie disk that I purchased. That worked fine and I was able to download it to my device by going to "My Movies". I can see the movie title and play it. However, I would like to move it to the installed SD card instead. However, I cannot find the movie anywhere using the "My Files" Explorer. Anyone know what I need to do in order to find the movie file on my tablet in order to transfer to the SD card? I am down to 5 GB on my tab while I have 29 GB on my SD Card. Thanks in advance! Jake. P.S~ I cant imagine this is hard. But I am an IT guy and I couldn't figure it out!

Which SD card to get?

Thursday 07th of August 2014 / androidforums.com
So I just got a Galaxy Tab 4, 8 inch -- but there doesn't seem to be a forum for that, so hopefully this is a good place to post.I want to get a 64 GB microSD card, and I'm probably just going to use it for media -- e-books, audio/songs, and video (downloaded TV/movies). I've been reading up a bit on SD cards, it seems like the various ratings have mostly to do with the speed at which they can move data (ie, the speed class, uhs speed class, etc). So obviously I want to get the appropriate card, I'm guessing if I want to put video files on the card, that's going to determine which one I want in terms of speed. So I want a card that can handle video files efficiently and speedily, but I'm guessing I don't want something that's uselessly faster or more high-spec than needed, because I'll just be spending extra $$$ for no reason -- right? So, any recommendations on which class of card is optimal given my needs?

S5 moving movies to SD card

Saturday 11th of October 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Can someone give me a complete, from the very beggining to end guide to moving downloaded mp4 movies from my internal memory on to my SD card? Everytime I use the "my files" stock app to move or copy the movies, the files move properly BUT when I go to play the movies I get a "sorry this file cannot be played" message. I bought a new Samsung class 10 64 GB card, threw it right in and this is where I'm at. All I want to do is move the movie files from my internal memory to my sd card. Please give a step by step guide because whatever I'm doing isn't working. I've tried doing this on the phone, on the computer, using 3rd party apps like es, b2 etc and I've also tried different players like MX. Please help!!
