Help inside on how to open the back cover to access the SD card

Saturday 26th of May 2012 / androidforums.com
Am I the only one having issues opening the back? I am a nail biter and tried a few things, but totally fearful of breaking it. Not too happy that it is right where the power button is. I don't want to turn mine on yet until I get a card in and bumped it already. Anyone have the perfect solution? I tried a dime a penny, screwdriver(not much force) and a few others.

rooted, but cant mount sd card for backup

Monday 18th of March 2013 / androidforums.com
hi ive just rooted a desire for my wife, using unrevoked, which said it was successful. i can boot into recovery, and superuser is in apps.during the phones final reboot, it seemed to be having probs mounting the sd card, but then timed out and said installing anyway.i decided to nandroid before putting a new rom on, but it comes up with the follwing messageE: cant mount /dev/block/mmcblk0 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0p1)(no such file or directory)cant mount sd card.any ideas why this should be?also, im doing this as she is on the 'three' network, the phones locked to orange. will this have unlocked the phone? and if not how can i do this?thanksEDIT: fail!!! first thing i should have checked was if there was a sd card in it!! :-Di assume my sd card on my desire HD will be set up for just that phone, and i couldnt swap it over, stick a desire rom on, instal that rom and back up on my card, then remove back to mine?or do i need a dedicated card for the desire? and also, should it have been formatted during the root process? will i need to run software again?thanks

When you pop a fresh MicroSD card into your Galaxy S5 you can instantly expand its storage by up to 128GB, and it's an economical way to up the storage without having to pay for the extra internal storage right off the bat, costing you $100 to just add 16GB.It only takes a few minutes and a couple easy steps to insert your SD card properly — let us show you how.Remove the back coverIn order to get at all of the goodies inside of your Galaxy S5, including the SD card, you'll need to remove the back cover of the phone first. Find the notch on the top-left corner of the back, and pry the back off slowly as to not break any of the clips. The back is quite flexible, so don't worry too much about breaking it. It will come off completely.Remove the batteryUnlike some phones, the Galaxy S5 requires you to remove the battery from the phone before removing the SD card. Lift up on the b
