How to set default Google account for new contacts
Saturday 14th of January 2012
I have multiple Gmail accounts set up on my phone. When I add a new contact, there is a button that allows me to select which account I want to set it up in. By default, it says "Google". When I touch that option to change it, it offers me the four Gmail addresses and allows me to select which account to save the new contact under. Which one is my default? They are ALL called "Google" so I cannot tell which one is the default. Also, is there a way to change the default so I can select a certain email address to be the default?
change default google calendar?

I set up my phone with an old Google account. I now would like to change it, but I am missing something. First, my new Google account is not showing any calendar options on the Droid. I have set everything up on Google. Next, can I make this new Google account my primary without resetting the phone? I am thinking the account has to be the primary one to get the calendar to show.

How to change the default Google account a contact add to?
Saturday 28th of March 2015
(I think I should have posted here a few hours before, but when I now come back, I can't see that post anymore. So, I post now again. Sorry if it's a duplicate.) (And I just saw that I need 10 post to post link. I don't have any link in this post. I will try to omit the Google account examples (email address) to see if it works..) Hi Forum, I use a Nexus 4. I had 2 personal accounts and a work account set up. At Settings > Accounts > Google, I can see those three accounts sorted alphabetically. Now, I receive a Contact file from WhatsApp. I view it, and there is an "Add to contacts" button at the bottom. I press it, and it says "<contact name> has been added to your contacts" (no option to choose which Google account to add to). Then I find that the contact is added to alphabetically first account. How can I default the contacts to be added to an alphabetically second or else account? Is it a WhatsApp issue or an Android issue?Any discussion or direction is appreciated. Thanks guys!
