Chrome for Android Updates to Support New Nexus Devices, and Usual Bug Fixes

Thursday 01st of November 2012 /
My favorite Android browser, Chrome, just got updated to support the two new Nexus devices that were announced this week. The Nexus 4, and Nexus 10, which will begin shipping on November 13th. Google Chrome is only available on devices running Android 4.0 – Ice Cream Sandwich or later. This update also features some bug fixes and stability improvements as every app update normal does. The change log in the play store was pretty vague as to what’s new in this version of Chrome for Android. But the Google Chrome blog indicates fixes for ARM devices were also made in this update. So you can look forward to that too. You can grab the update from the Play Store now.Who uses Google Chrome for Android? If you don’t, what’s your browser of choice? Let us know in the comments below.Source: Google Chrome Blog

Can’t view Flash websites with Chrome? Use “Another Browser” to open the web page in another browser

Thursday 12th of April 2012 /
If you use Google Chrome as your default browser on your Android device, you’re probably aware that Adobe Flash isn’t supported on the browser. While Chrome on Android is nice, we sometime have to revert back to the stock browser to view content that requires Adobe Flash. Prior to today, when one used Chrome for Android and encountered a site that used Adobe Flash, the easiest way to view the Flash content was to copy the URL, open up the stock browser, and paste the URL in the address bar to access the site. Although the process doesn’t seem that long, it does get a little…Continue Reading HereCan’t view Flash websites with Chrome? Problems rooting Samsung Galaxy S: SuperOneClick stops responding at step 7

Friday 10th of August 2012 /
I am having an awful time trying to update my new Galaxy S to ICS. I found a well rated ROM .zip on but first I need to root the phone so I can unlock the bootloader. I have been googling all week and read lots of posts saying SuperOneClick is the way to go, but it keeps freezing. It gets to step 7 and stops. There are many threads out there where people say they have the same problem as me, but there is no answer to these posts, or the response is 'well it worked for me', which isn't much help. I also thought of giving Odin a go, but I do not believe my ROM is compatable (doesn't have PDA, CSC etc. elements to select). There must be something I'm missing or the tutorials I've read have left out. Or something else stopping SuperOneClick from finishing it's task.I get no error messages during the rooting process. SuperOneClick just plain stops responding. Samsung Galaxy S i9000Android Gingerbread 2.3.6 Bootloader 3eROM from ( version 2.3.3

I am responding to an email support case #XXXXX submitted

Tuesday 27th of March 2012 /
I am responding to an email support case #XXXXX submitted by Doris XXXXXXi (XXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX). I have installed ADE on my computer, XXXXXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX as the ID. E-reader Nook Color. I am trying to download books from my library to my Nook. The book is on my computer, and when set up ADE, the Nook will not appear on my computer to drag the book to read. When I install, I get a flashing icon on the bottom of my screen and says I need an exc permission. I do not get a registration questions or anything. Then the next box appears and says publisher unknown. I just keep answering yes, and then there is no nook on the area under bookshelves on my computer in the area of the book where it should be dragged over and downloaded to my Nook. I am so frustrated, I wonder if there is something I am doing wrong. Once I close the flashing icon it indicates that I need administrative permission. Help40989.0811148958Already Tried: I've spent time with the library people, time with my HP support people, my computer guy, a friend who has computer skills, and myself. There seems to be a glitch....

Evo 4g camera goes black & stops responding : (

Friday 27th of January 2012 /
Hello, everybody! My camera on my Evo 4g occasionally goes black and stops responding (thus the subject) after I've taken a picture. Since I'm in IT, the first solution I try is to reboot, of course. That doesn't work. When I go to the camera again, it's still black and I can't even bring up the settings. My phone isn't rooted, and I'm on Android version 2.3.3. Anyone else have that problem and/or have any ideas about how to fix it? Your input is appreciated! Much obliged!!

Accelerometer stops responding

Monday 29th of April 2013 /
I'm experiencing an intermittent issue with my ZTE Avid 4G whereas the accelerometer stops responding, which is breaking the auto-rotate screen function. I've updated Android with the latest from ZTE's website, which did not help. Using an app to attempt to recalibrate the accelerometer doesn't help either. I've noticed it seems to happen whenever the screen locks while a video is being played in fullscreen. Restarting the phone resumes normal operation of the accelerometer.Has anybody else had this issue?

Screen not responding to touch sometimes?

Friday 17th of October 2014 /
Okay so I've had my Google Nexus 7 tablet for about a year now and I've always had this problem. Sometimes the screen just stops responding to touch and I have to lock it and unlock it again to fix the problem. I know this might sound like I'm whining because it's easy to fix, but its really annoying if you're in the middle of a video or game when it happens. I've taken apart a Nexus before, so could anyone just tell me what connection I could possibly check to make sure its not loose or something?
