LG G2 phone cracked in the cold verizon

Sunday 15th of December 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
ok so the situation if anyone runs into the same situation. BRAND NEW LG G2 waited to activate and use my new phone until my case and zagg screen protector came in the mail. once they came in I activated the phone and began to use it for a little over a week. I goto Indianapolis Indiana left my phone in my top pocket of my carharrt coat approx 5*f outside phone was ok before I left the hotel once I got to the restaurant pulled my phone out to find a crack top to bottom on the screen. so to recap this is a brand new phone has NEVER been dropped abused not damage what so ever other than the screen cracked. so I'm stuck with paying a insurance deductible or $99.99 after just purchasing a phone for $200. ( the absolute kicker is the price of the phone through verizon now is only 99 so its really $200 extra down the drain) maybe mine is the only phone but figured I would post it just incase so just kinda depressed about it and if anyone else has the same type of issue please report it to verizon since i am apparently the first

Cracked Screen - Replacing Through Asurion - help transferring EVERYTHING?

Monday 14th of April 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Using the Verizon kickstand case - phone fell perfectly on concrete, top right edge - cracked screen all the way down the phone. Only the upper left corner (about 1/3 of the screen) is still useable via the touchscreen. BTW - upon restart of the phone, up popped a message "It appears your LCD may be damaged. Would you like to enable hardware button functions?" or something like that - basically allowing me to answer calls and silence alarms via the rear buttons...pretty cool! In any case, I'm getting a replacement through Asurion tomorrow. Any advice on a way to transfer EVERYTHING over since it will be G2 to G2? I'd like to transfer apps, SMS - everything if possible. I have very limited touch functionality, so it will have to be done via PC... Thanks!

So I have a Verizon LG G2 here, and besides the cracked screen and wonky digitizer, it's cool. My problem is that the majority of the screen unresponsive, and the device is password protected. I'm trying to get my files off of it, however I can't unlock it to enable debugging or anything. I can't unlock it at all. Help! Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk

Cracked LG G2 Screen

Tuesday 03rd of June 2014 / androidforums.com
I recently got an LG G2 smartphone with Verizon, but neither my dad nor I had yet to put insurance on it and I dropped the phone and the screen cracked. It's not a terrible crack and I wouldn't mind using it with the broken screen. The only problem is that the touchscreen is unresponsive. Getting the screen repaired is almost $200 and I don't mind paying for it, but since I don't have a job, I would like to see what all my options are and see if there is a cheaper way to do it before I spent $200 unnecessarily. I am able to turn the phone on with no problem but the touchscreen is unresponsive except for this one section on the left side. So the question is: if the phone and display is still working like it was before, what broke when I dropped the phone and what do I need to replace?

Backing up files while stuck in charge-only mode (LG G2)

Saturday 30th of August 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi everyone, I have an LG G2 (Android 4.3) with Verizon. I recently dropped my phone and cracked the screen. The phone itself is still functional (the display works), but the touchscreen no longer works. Unfortunately, the phone was set to "Charge-Only Mode" when connected via USB to a PC. Because of this, I'm unable to backup my files (I can't change the setting since the touchscreen is broken). My question: is it possible to backup my files despite not being able to get the phone out of charge-only mode, maybe with some sort of software for my PC? I've tried the LG driver--it made no difference. Summary: The touchscreen is broken and the phone is in charge-only mode. Can I still backup my files to my PC? I apologize if this question has been asked already, but I haven't found it. Thanks for any help!

Cracked screen and need to recover info

Thursday 30th of October 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
I am sure there may be a thread on this somewhere but I am having trouble finding one. I cracked the screen of my G2, the screen still lights up and is fully legible but the phone will not recognize my touch. Without being able to select anything the Verizon store cannot recover my photos and such. So I am here to ask for advice on making the screen recognize my touch, in order for them to recover all of my things. If there is another way to pull everything off of the phone that would be great as well. I appreciate any advice, PLEASE HELP.

Portion of LG G2 Screen Unresponsive. Help?

Wednesday 19th of November 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
I have a verizon LG G2 phone. A teeny, tiny sliver of the LCD screen cracked a couple of hours ago, it's barely noticeable. and now the bottom inch of the touch screen is unresponsive. The rest of the LCD touch screen works perfectly fine. Is there a way to solve this issue without replacing the entire screen? What is a digitizer? Is that the problem, or the crack, or both?I downloaded a "screen rotation" app so i'm able to use it, but i have to rotate the phone 5 different times just to do simple tasks.I appreciate any and all help. Thanks!
