I'm having a bit of a problem
Saturday 27th of October 2012
So I tried to manually update to Jelly Bean and after I put the file on my external SD card, I disconnected my S3 from my computer and when I went to put it into the stock recovery mode (or whatever its called, where you use the volume keys to pick an option) and when I do that, a screen comes up saying "Warning A custom OS can cause critical problems in phone and installed applications. If you want to install a custom OS, press volume up key. Otherwise press the volume down key to cancel." If I press volume up, it just says downloading... Do not turn off target. It is not a typical screen when going into stock recovery mode (which is what I think its called, Sorry for sounding uneducated about this I just forgot the name for it). Can someone help me on how to manually update and how to get the screen to go away? P.S. When I click volume up to install the update, it says that it is in ODIN MODE in red letters at the top right then it says, in white, product name: SPH-L710, custom binary download:No, current binary:Samsung Official, system status:Official then under that in

Hello,I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-L710 through CSPIRE WIRELESS. I have read online about "rooting" and it sounded pretty simple so I gave it a try. Stupid move on my part, I guess I'm not technologically advanced enough for this procedure. Now my phone is frozen and appears to be stuck in "Odin Mode" and is trying to download something. I downloaded samsung galaxy s3 toolkit 7.0 and was in the process of installing drivers and the Odin program opened. After adjusting the Odin settings my phone was supposed to reboot and I could close ODIN. My phone never rebooted. I tried removing the battery and holding down the power button and nothing happened. I read online to hold down the Power + Up Volume + Home key, I tried and it flashes Samsung across the screen and nothing else. I tried holding the Power + Down Volume + Home key and it gives a warning to hit UP for custom OS or down for restart phone. If I hit down it flashes Samsung and stays powered down, if I hit Up it gives the following message at the top left: ODIN MODE (in red font), Product Name: SCH-L710, CU

Galaxy s4 virus?
Monday 14th of October 2013
Hey guys, I am having a really strange problem with my galaxy s4. I've recently been on a trip to Tunisia, and my phone has been performing flawlessly for around five months. Half way through my holiday I encountered a weird issue (used wireless in two different hotels), my down volume key and power button stopped working. After pulling the battery out of the phone and rebooting, a message came up warning me that installing a custom OS can be dangerous etc. press volume up to download and volume down to restart. The volume down key still did not work, so I pulled the battery out and left it for half an hour, tried again and the custom OS screen still appeared. I could boot the phone into safe mode, but couldn't get the phone to boot normally. I tried doing a format from within safe mode, but the issue still occured. I couldn't boot into recovery mode either so I decided to hit the volume up key to see if it was responding (during the custom OS stage), the button didn't respond the first few times, but after the third try, the download initiated. Convinced it was a virus I stopped i
Android*4.4.2*KitKat install fail caused Samsung Galaxy Note II bootup hanged.

When the firmware updated fail, the device was still functioning, however the next day, when device was left alone for a while, then i noticed the screen was started freezing with white blinking light. Next, i tried below1) Firstly, the screen showed Samsung Galaxy Note II was freezing with continuous white blinking light.2) Next, i removed the battery and restarted it, the screen became white-grey and still frezzed. Attachment 1644753)Used Volume-up + Power key+ Home key did not bring up the safe-mode boot-up routine, and the same white-grey like screen persisted.4) By mistakenly pressed Volume-down +Power Key+Home key brought up "Warning!!" message of Attachment 164476 "A custom OS can cause critical problems in phone and installed applications. If you want to download a custom OS, press the volume up key. Otherwise, press the volume down key to cancel." 5) Pressed Volume-down only brought back the same screen again. Pressed Volume-up did not change any either. So, i went back step 4), but this time i pressed Volume-up first, and it brought up 6) Attachment 164
