Dead Samsung Tab

Thursday 20th of January 2011 / forums.androidcentral.com
Put my tab down on the counter earlier today, came back to use it and it was completely unresponsive. Pressed the power button, nothing. Plugged into the wall to see if it would charge, nothing. It's was purchased in Dec and Sprint won't do a thing since it's outside of 30 days...anyone else have a dead Tab by chance and was able to revive it before sending it to Samsung?????

Patent Wars Stories Part 2: Samsung Denied Appeal to Lift Ban of Galaxy Tab 10.1

Tuesday 03rd of July 2012 / android.net
Here is the second story for today in this Summer series of patent wars. Obviously the big news over the weekend was that Apple succeeded in banning sales of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in the United States. One of the pieces of news from earlier in the week got glossed over because of this. Just a few days prior to this, Apple also succeeded in banning sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the United States. This news wasn't as heavily looked at because it was easier to dismiss since Samsung is already selling their Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. It almost seems like a non-issue. Still, it's important to note because it sets legal precedents that give Apple further ammunition for future lawsuits. (Quick unnecessary but funny simile: It's kind of like Apple is turning their enemy's dead soldiers into zombies and using them against them.)Of course, Samsung appealed this decision and requested the ban be lifted. The news today is that this failed. The judge basically ruled that the import ban on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will stand. Here's a quote from Samsung regarding the ruling,

[Help!] Galaxy Tab 7+ Dead (?)

Tuesday 31st of December 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
My galaxy tab 7+ won't turn on, display is dead. Connected to a charger, nothing happening. Haven't used it for quite a while. The bottom-left corner (screen facing me) is quite warm when connected to the charger, with the rest of the tab rather cool. Tried holding down power button for as long as possible, nothing. It was running rooted stock ICS normally. After some weeks of not using it, it went into this state. Did i just hardbrick my tab? How can i fix it? Will Samsung Philippines be able to service my tab even if it's out of warranty? Thanks!

Not used tab for 2 months, battery dead! Charge up, turn off, battery dead? please help

Monday 21st of April 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi,I have only had my Samsung Galaxy tab 3 a few months and I used it very little in the beginning though it functioned fine and as expected. Last used the tablet end of Feb this year and it was fully charged and I powered the device off. Tried to turn the phone on this Easter going away on a train and it was completely dead. Put the charger in and the battery was totally empty. Charged the device up but battery was ticking down before my eyes. I have no apps running etc for rapid battery drop. I powered the unit down at 84% and then the next day tried to turn the device on; it was completely dead. Seems when the device is powered off and turned back on it is totally dead. It is under warrantee but wonder if anyone can advise me if I can remedy this somehow, without having to take it back to the shop? Thank you.Lee

Genuine Samsung charger without the genuine Samsung price?

Thursday 19th of February 2015 / forums.androidcentral.com
After upgrading to a Galaxy S4 phone, I tried its charger on my dead Tab 3 7.0 that no USB charger I have could get to wake up and suckle the electron flow. Surprise! After showing the 0 battery icon for a bit it changed to the charging indicator. So I got on eBay and carefully examined all the text on my S4's charger and after bypassing several that didn't match, paid the $7.95 for one that looked like a perfect duplicate. Got it today and, nuthin. Won't charge the Tab 3. Tried it on my phone and it worked for a bit then quit. Tried different cables and devices, completely defekt COUNTERFEIT charger. Yup, the genuine Samsung charger will still drag the Tab 3 back to life from a completely dead battery. (That the Tab 3 will rapidly discharge its new battery in less than a day or night even when turned off is another issue altogether.) The fake weighs less than the real one, 35.7 grams VS 36.3 grams. (Weighed on an expensive digital scale.) The cable that came with the fake is much shorter and lacks the two bumps on one side of the micro USB connector. Anyone know of a reputable selle
