[Guide] Installing Swype Beta on HTC Inspire 4G - Page 4
Sunday 27th of February 2011
Does no one have a reply. I sent a msg to swype and they didn't answer either.
Phone Storage Full? but It's NOT. - Page 2

2010 ZR1, you were right, Google Earth is the culprit. I reinstalled it and the same trouble cropped up. I did not try reinstalling Swype yet, so I can't confirm it does not cause trouble, but for sure Google Earth does.On one hand that is very surprising to me that a Google product would be the one to screw everything up, but then again, I have had trouble with Google Earth on my desktop.I don't NEED Google Earth and so I don't expect I will mess with it again and since Google Maps now does most of what I was interested in Google Earth for, I probably won't even miss it.If/when I reinstall Swype I will let you all know one way or the other if I had any trouble with it.Thanks for all the help everyone. Now if Verison and HTC would just pay attention to this thread, it would save everyone a lot of trouble. Or here's an idea, Google - FIX YOUR PROBLEM!
Inspire vs Samsung Captivate
Monday 07th of February 2011
I've been doing a whole bunch of research on the Samsung Captivate in the past few weeks, and then I heard about the HTC Inspire and now I have high hopes for the Inspire and I'm not sure which to get now. Anyway, I have a few questions about the Inspire.Does it have Swype? And does it have that thing where you say something, and then it makes it a text message? What is everything HTC Sense can do? I read everything here, but I'm interested to know what else it can do. Is there a list of everything it can do? Like literally, everything, even the tiniest things.Edit: I just discovered the Atrix, so let's throw that one in too. Which one is the best, or which one would be best for me? I'm 16 years old, a sophomore in high school, I run track, so I'm somewhat busy, I'm nerdy (as in I like tech stuff.) I wouldn't be a hardcore business user like others may be, but I would push it a bit.

I downloaded swype, but for some reason it won't auto space or punctuate automatically. I have checked those options, and set it up exactly the way I had it on my DX. Is it working GREAT for anybody? How can I fix this, would re-installing it fix the problem?P.s. what keyboards does everyone use, I don't like the htc one a lot. It's sort of slow, the letters are smashed together. The keyboard on the dx was nice, swype is nice on this but I can't get it to work perfect.
Does Swype come with HTC One by default?
Saturday 07th of September 2013
Hi, I was installing SwiftKey but someone told me Swype is already built-in. If so, then why do they still have it in the store? For other devices? Or is the one in the store better? Which one should I use? I don't want to pay for SwiftKey or Swype if they are already added or that it's inferior. Thanks

Emoji character limit?
Tuesday 08th of July 2014
Hello all, I have spent the last half hour searching online for a possible solution but have found nothing. I was texting a friend today and he asked me why my text to him came in five different messages when there were only enough characters to fit into two messages. So I tried typing the same message again and a noticed that when I use emojis the character limit changes from 160 to 70. This happens on my One m7 with the HTC keyboard, Google keyboard, swiftkey, android l keyboard, and fleksy. Only keyboard it doesn't happen with is swype but I would hardly call swype's 15 face options emojis. Does anyone know what could be causing this or how I can fix it? Or does anyone else have this problem? I am on sprint if that helps.
Display showing wear mark /scuffing in keyboard area from constant swyping. Factory clear coat??
Thursday 21st of August 2014
I have a coworker that upgraded from last years HTC One to the M8 and running into issues... One is that he showed me with display clean, he can see big oval blotch at bottom of screen where looks like where he types using swype. Look like from all the rubbings he has wear mark. Does the phone come with factory coating? He also had problem with very blurry pics lately and I read here posts of coating on camera lense and people using car lense cleaner to polish away the coating that comes with the phone. Told my buddy and he polished his rear lense to point he said it actually helped so checking for him about the display. It's too bad because he likes the phone but the cheap coating on back and now the wear on front is concerning.
