Does the phone charge when plugged in to USB?
Tuesday 02nd of March 2010
If you've ever used an iPhone, you know that that's an alternative way to charge the phone, aside from the A/c adapter. What about the Nexus One? Does it charge when connected to your PC/Mac?TIA,jake

D2G won't start up without wall charger and keeps going to bootloader
Tuesday 02nd of August 2011
File this one under the "annoying but not critical" category. When my phone is at 5% or higher, anything will charge it... car, wall, USB, solar. Wall's definitely the fastest, but they all work. When it gets down below 5%, it's almost like it goes into a downward spiral that can't be stopped by a mere USB cable. It HAS to get plugged into the wall or it WILL die.Once my phone is dead, it will not start for even a second. Screen won't even light up. At this point it is in a state where only the wall charger can save it. Once I put it on the wall charger, it's up to 5% in a few minutes, then 10%, then 20% within 15 minutes, but try charging it via USB and I get nothing. What does happen occasionally when plugged in via USB is it will just start up when plugged in via USB and go to "Bootloader D0.11" and continually flash "Battery Low: Cannot Program". it does this at random intervals, and also when I turn it on manually. The only way around it? Plug it into the wall. Also, not sure if this is related or not, but on about one in three reboots it goes to clock

Can anyone sign a rom for the Droid 4?
Wednesday 18th of September 2013
I'm in a bit of a sticky situation with my Droid. It will not boot past the "M''. I don't believe it is taking a charge, but when plugged in with the charger I can access Stock Recovery and the Bootloader screen. As soon as I unplug the phone from the charger I get a black screen, won't turn on, can't access anything. I get a green light when plugged in via USB, but phone does not turn on, no Recovery or anything. I'm wondering if there is a signed Rom out there for this phone or if somebody can sign one? Would that get me past all this mess so I could start over? I'm very disappointed in myself for having come to this state with my phone, I had a cyanogenmod nightly and safe strap installed and just could'nt leave well enough alone and here I sit. Any help woud get me out of my self induced funk. Thank you very much in advance I hope I did this right.
samsung galaxy s2 not charging when plugged in
Wednesday 25th of September 2013
Hello,Last night I changed the USB / Charging port on my Samsung Galaxy S2. Now when I plug in the charger it recognises the charger but the battery level stays on 0%.The phone still works when plugged in however the volume button does not. I think this is probably because when I lifted the mother board there was a gold strip that I think was soldered on to the back at the volume button side which I disconnected. Might this also explain why the battery won't charge. Any advice appreciated.Kevin
Phone won't connect to any device via usb please help!
Friday 10th of January 2014
I have a Samsung Galaxy s3 running 4.3. When I plug my phone in to both my computer or my 360 neither recognizes the device, my phone does charge when plugged in, But there is no USB icon at the top of my phone like there should be. I've tried two different USB cables. Then I plugged my wife's iPhone into both and her device was recognized. So I've eliminated that the problem could be my my computer or my cable. I've searched all through my settings trying to find out how to fix this but no luck. And tried to research this a little, but no luck there. If anyone had encountered this problem or has any ideas please let me know.

Moto X Will Not Stay Off When Plugged In
Monday 20th of January 2014
This isn't really a problem, but I found it a bit strange. I just noticed today that if my Moto X is turned off, it will turn on if I plug it in to charge. Since I work at a computer, and I do not answer or use my phone much at work, I often turn it off to avoid it being a distraction. Well I did not charge the phone last night (sidenote, amazing battery life, got nearly 6 hours of screen on time), so when I got back from having lunch the battery down to 10% charge. I turned my Moto X off and plugged it in, and it turned itself on. I thought I may have pressed the power button accidentally, so I turned it off and tried a few more times, sure enough, every time I plug it in while the phone is off, it boots up. I charge by plugging into my Mac's USB port. When I get home I will double check if it does the same with the Moto supplied wall charger. Not really a big deal since I can just put it on silent, but I have never before owned a phone that does this. Like a lot of AC users, I have had a lot of smartphones from various platforms/manufacturers (Palm, Blackberry, Android, iOS, even
