Droid X2 - Having Download Problems and Using It With Facebook
Sunday 19th of August 2012
I have a Droid 2 and I am growing unhappier with it by the day. I try downloading apps from Market and the apps never install. It stays downloading continuously for 24 hours and all the next day. I access Facebk through Google because the Facebk app on the Droid does not always load and the app itself has a few dislikable features. Accessing Facebk using the Google browser has its own problems: the Facebk comment box does not expand when typing in it so I can't see what I'm typing. Also, the screen is jiggles when I hit the keys, or it scrolls up and down uncontrollably. I thought maybe the problem was Internet Explorer/Google so tried to download the Dolphin browser, which I have been told is an excellent browser. Again, it appears to be downloading for over 24 hours. Ugh! I took the phone to Verizon and they were not helpful. Said that apps take time to download and have a good day. Ugh! Another adviser told me to use WiFi when downloading apps. I did -- no change. The apps never load onto my phone. It's probably a simple fix but I have no idea where to find the answers to the prob

Ethernet download problems
Monday 23rd of July 2012
My Zenith works fine; I can connect via WiFi, 3g Dongle and Ethernet. The problem I have is that when I try do download apps I can go right through the process until I click 'Install'. The download bar moves and displays 'waiting for network'......forever! I can disconnect the ethernet, turn on WiFi then set up my phone as a WiFi hotspot and the app immediately downloads. Why does ethernet do everything it should except download the app? Where does it think the network it is on has gone?I am new to Androids so simple answers please.Regard
Can I download problems from my PC?
Thursday 03rd of November 2011
I have a Sumsung Gallaxy 10" Pad. I would like to download something from my computer. My wife is studying the immigration exam. I would like to download 100 questions to the pad so she can work on it at her job. The 100 questions has Chinese and English script as well as audio. Is it possible to download it, or must I download this material from an android source?
Market download problems
Tuesday 29th of March 2011
Hi, Is it just me or some of you also have problems downloading apps from the market? To be sure, I reinstalled everything from the Coby update, clockwork recovery mod to the market zip. For every file I want to download I have to go to Applications -> Market, clear the cache and uninstall the updates, then check in Services if the download manager is working and if so force stop it. If I dont do that, I stay stuck in download mode (Ongoing...) forever. Is there anyone facing the same problem? Thanks in advance Cheers

The Droid X is my first smartphone, I had an LG Dare for 2 years prior. I recently purchased a Droid X about a month ago and was loving it until last week. I just updated last week also and am wondering if it has something to do with it. I tried to download an app from the market and I never got the program installed message. I clicked on the app and it said "cancel download" on the button so I figured it was still just downloading the app. I clicked the menu button and clicked on downloads and it was just sitting there and was saying downloading. I left it this way for a few mins and nothing had happened so I canceled download and then clicked install again. This time (since I was in the download menu) it showed the app and said starting download, it would then go to downloading but usually about a second later will say download uncessful. I tried many different apps and every time it is the same and I also get the same message if trying to update an app. I have removed apps thinking that I am out of space but now cannot even re-download the ones I uninstalled. Nexus 4 - Download Problems
Sunday 04th of August 2013
For the last few weeks I have been having problems with my Nexus 4 downloading Podcasts from the internet. I download my prodcasts through the Chrome Browser simply by long pressing and clicking "Save Link". This has worked for years across various devices without a problem however now it does not appear to work. When I click "Save Link" a message pops up saying "Starting Download" as it always would however from there, no progress appears in the notifications panel and 9/10 times the file doesn't download at all. On the occasion that it does, there is no sign that it is downloading until the normal "Download Complete" message pops up. I have downloaded Astro and the files are partially downloading, but they seem to get between 10-20mb and disappear. They are also never visible in the stock download manager. This is only a problem with MP3 files so far, I can download PDF's etc and they perform as they always did. Does anyone have any ideas, this is driving me mad? Thanks
Download problems using Google Play Store
Wednesday 14th of August 2013
Dear all,Since the last few weeks, I've experienced problems to update some current apps and/or download new ones to my Galaxy Tab 2 (7 inch) using Google Play Store. The tablet runs on 4.1.1. Here is the typical error message I've received, "Update (or download) X app could not be downloaded due to an error. (Error retrieving information from server [RPC:S:AEC-O]). I have no idea what this code means, and don't know how to troubleshoot this problem either.Has anyone had this same problem? If so, what to do?Thank you very much.V-Phuc Nguyen
Photo download Problems
Sunday 29th of June 2014
I tweet quite a bit (more than I should). I like to tweet photos that I download in Chrome and from Reddit News, but I've run into some problems lately. Whenever I go to tweet the photo it says "tweet failed to send". I can usually get around this by cropping the photo and then tweeting it again. This isn't the only time I have problems with downloaded photos though. When I go to to send pictures to friends with iOS devices they receive the message "One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaption. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your handset". Any help with this would be much appreciated!
