4.0 ice cream sandwich - How to remove words from the predictive dictionary in HTC Sense
Sunday 17th of June 2012
I have a case of irritating typos such as yoi rather than you etc. being selected by the otherwise excellent prediction, I must have accidentally taught the phone it in the past. I had previously been able to remove them from the dictionary as described in this answer back on android 2.3 however surprise surprise this menu pathway doesn't exist on HTCs version of 4.0 cupcake. I'm really hoping this isn't going to be another case of HTC quietly hiding features from their menus. In the language and keyboard settings page, where I believe it was previously, it's not under the options button of spelling correction or the regionalisation button of TouchInput correction. Does anyone know where this has been moved to?
Featured: Google Play Store v3.9.16 Now Available, Features Ability to Remove Apps from the All Apps List
Thursday 11th of October 2012
Here we go with a new version of the Google Play Store. By now you should know the drill. Google pushes a new version of the Google Play Store, someone grabs it and uploads it and it get’s spread around the Android world. That’s no different this time. This version of the Google Play Store is an update from the 3.8.17 which hit back in August. So you ask what’s new? Well from first glance, the biggest new feature is the ability to remove apps from the “All Apps” list. Which if you’re like those of us who write for Android Headlines, you probably have a few hundred or even thousand apps in that list. Many of which you probably don’t use anymore. Well now you can delete them very easily. Android Police has uploaded some screenshots of this feature and they are below for you. It also appears that the icon that pops up in the notification bar when downloading a newapp or update has also changed.Android Police has also shared something that’s interesting (well to me at least). Which is the size of the past few updates to the Google Play Store

Saturday 08th of February 2014
Flappy Bird, an Android and iOS application that took the gaming-world by storm over the past couple of weeks, will reportedly be shut down and removed from app stores by tomorrow, according to the app’s developer.Flappy Bird developer Dong Nguyen (known on Twitter as @dongatory) revealed his plans for the app earlier today:“I am sorry ‘Flappy Bird’ users, 22 hours from now, I will take ‘Flappy Bird’ down. I cannot take this anymore.”Nguyen’s Twitter feed includes other tweets explaining his frustration with what he’s been dealing with since his app came into the public eye.The game (and Nguyen) have been taking a lot of heat over the past few weeks, mostly because of controversy and allegations that Nguyen had been stealing art for his benefit, and that the game was extremely similar to many other popular “helicopter-style” applications.Nonetheless, the app has reportedly been receiving around $50,000 in ad revenue each day— a number that likely would have continued to increase if Nguyen hadn’t decided to pull the app.Som
"Flappy Bird - no ads" on Samsung App Store...Malicious?
Tuesday 25th of February 2014
I was scrolling thru the Samsung App Store and came across a version of Flappy Bird. After all the recent hype about this things removal I wondered if it could be a spy ware type thing. You know, now if I go on my banks site or app, would it store and send out my personal info? I thought I read about this happening, but also remember reading that these games were all removed. So I'm wondering about the Samsung version...probably best to stay away, huh? This ones called "Flappy Bird - no ads".
