Tip: BeyondPod Podcast Manager Has A Hidden Menu With Tons Of Settings - Here's How To Access It
Wednesday 23rd of October 2013
We already know that TeslaCoil loves to throw secret menus into its apps like Nova and WidgetLocker, but it turns out they're not the only developers using this sort of hidden functionality. Popular podcatching app BeyondPod also has a hidden menu, and it's chock-full of useful features. First things first - how do you access this super top-secret place of magic? Pretty easily, actually. Start up BeyondPod, and hit the menu button > More... > About BeyondPod; from there, just tap and hold the BeyondPod version label for 1-2 seconds. The Advanced Settings will appear just below (first screenshot). While there are a slew of good options in here, a few options are particularly noteworthy. For starters, those on ICS and above can enable enhanced notifications, which will give you playback controls in the shade (!) - this is a godsend for most of us. What's probably even more important than that, though, is the option to change the default download location. If you don't want to save podcasts to the local storage area, you can change that to the SD card. Brilliant! That's just the
Android Hidden Menu (com.android.hiddenmenu)
Wednesday 31st of August 2011
i have taken the liberty of mapping out the prevail's hidden menu list.if someone could provide a basic definition of each menu/function, i'm sure that it would clarify the differences between the specific data/debug functions. i could use the knowledge as well.TO FIND THE HIDDEN MENU, YOU MUST BE ABLE TO ACCESS ACTIVITES FROM YOUR HOME SCREEN. ADW LAUNCHER WORKS FINE, AND IS FREE ON AN.MARKET.AT THE HOME SCREEN, ON ADW.LAUNCHER, PRESS AND HOLD FOR 3 SEC. TO GET THE SUBMENU. SELECT CUSTOM SHORTCUT. SELECT PICK ACTIVITY, AND SCROLL UNTIL YOU LOCATE .COM.ANDROID.HIDDENMENU. AND EXPAND THE TREE.THE FOLLOWING IS AVAILABLE: (note:because there are several menus named "data", i have identified them individually as 'data*1/d*1)DEBUG MENU (CONTEXT-##33284#>329102/RTN.VIEW/RESET)HIDDEN MENU1.CHECK MSL(MSL.CHECKER) 2.DATA*1(.HDATA)2.1 /OPTIONS2.2 /EDIT3.EVDO (VIEW)3.2 /EDIT4/4.1ADVANCED VIEW/EDIT 5DATA*2.DEBUG6.RTN7.GPSCLRX8.SCRTN 9.DATA*3 V.GATEWAY1 9.1 /2 9.2 EDIT GATEWAY1 9.3/ 3 10.DATA*4 .AKEY 10.1 /2 11.D*5 .OTKSL12.TERMINALMODE 13.D*6 DEBUG.MENU(#2)14.DTMF SET .USBCHARGEMEN
DROID Incredible Does 4G? Hidden Menu Says So – Droid Life
Friday 24th of September 2010
Well hello “4G Settings” menu on the Droid Incredible! Those screenshots were nabbed from my Incredible through Google Gesture Search and clearly show a secret 4G menu that will force close on you if used. Obviously I’m running a custom ROM, but don’t worry, this menu is available to stock non-rooted users as well.So what does this mean? Maybe just some built in Sense setting? Probably. The DI and EVO are running pretty similar versions and could be the reason it has a hidden menu like this. Anyway, it’s interesting to say the least since we know the DI isn’t capable of running on 4G. Gesture Search can find a bunch of hidden gems like this. Now go play with it!Cheers KiriusKris!
Hidden Menu For Better Sound Quality
Saturday 27th of November 2010
So I was just informed that there is a hidden menu for the Droid and Droid 2 also might work for the X but not to sure. So what you have to do is goto your dialer and type in the numbers listed below. Ill put the order of operation (steps) on what you do for the better quality as far as the other options listed in the hidden menu I have no idea what they do, Only know how to do this one. first step: Dial ##7764726 and press send2nd step: enter 000000 for password then hit verify3rd step: press option #4 Vocoder$th step: It should be on EVRC if you highlight EVRC-B then when your on the phone the quality is better but the catch is that it does use more batt. power. Let me know if this works for all of you and or if you allready knew about this hidden menu. Have fun!!!
raising Bionic's volume through hidden menu *please read*
Monday 24th of October 2011
Hello there, with the Galaxy S I was able to fundamentally raise the volume through a 'hidden' menuhttp://www.samsunggalaxysforum.com/t...what-where/15/if you scroll down there, you'll see he says to enter *#*#197328640#*#* and yadda yaddaI think there may be others, too. but None of them seem to work with the Bionic.anyway, I tried doing this and Bionic to no avail. Different handset, different hidden menu, I suppose.there is the ##program menu, but I don't think I can change any audio from there.Know how I can fundamentally raise the volume on the bionic? The volume app raisers really don't know anything, we'd have to actually dig deep and raise it. Trying to look for any menus to go to and I can't seem to find anything. Please help
Hidden menu & test menu problem
Wednesday 23rd of January 2013
When I press 0 in the dial, the test menu shows up and when I press # in the dial, the hidden menu shows up. It's very annoying because every time I want to dial a number I can't press 0 first. First I need to press another number and then 0 and after that I delete the first number and so i can start the phone number with 0. Phone isn't rooted. It has been rooted before but I unrooted it.I've tried to reinstall the firmware, but LG PC Suite is annoying and it doesnt work..Someone an idea?
Network Select/Hidden Menu Premia 4G
Sunday 09th of June 2013
I just recently replaced my Motion with the Premia 4g...On the motion i was able to get into the network select menu..where i could pick from the networks listed...go from 4g to 3g, to 1x...or LTE to EVDO or whatnot...I can't seem to find any way of getting into this "hidden menu" here on the Premia using such similar methods. I did find a code thats ##626* Where i'm then prompted to enter a code i found on whiterabbit.org by putting in my IMEI#...Does anyone know how to access this "hidden menu" on the Huawei phones? I've looked high and low and can't seem to find any to get into it. Reason for this is with the Motion i had 4g full service never an issue. With the Premia I'm noticing that i'm going from a weak 2-3 bars of 4g and then quickly reverting to 1x. If i'm not able to maintain a 4g signal i'd like to at least try to connect to 3g...if possible. If anyone can help me with this i'd appreciate it. Thanks all

Verizon LG G3 - Hidden Menu - Knock
Sunday 16th of November 2014
I am getting an LG G3 from Verizon Monday, and am wanting to turn off the Knock ability of the phone (I have no desire to have it running). I have read that you can access the Hidden Menu on the G3, but that the Verizon version is very limited. What I am wondering is if the Verizon Hidden Menu has the ability to turn disengage Knock? Otherwise, are there other ways to shut it off?
Verizon LG G3 - Hidden Menu - Double Tap
Sunday 16th of November 2014
I am getting an LG G3 from Verizon Monday, and am wanting to turn off the Double Tap ability of the phone (I have no desire to have it running). I have read that you can access the Hidden Menu on the G3, but that the Verizon version is very limited. What I am wondering is if the Verizon Hidden Menu has the ability to turn disengage Double Tap? Otherwise, are there other ways to shut it off? EDIT: I had the features mixed up. Double Tap is the one I want to get rid of.
