How do I get rid of ads on games?

Wednesday 13th of October 2010 /
Playing around with the free games in the market quite a few have weird ad/pop up things. On a computer you can block ads from free stuff so where can I do that on this phone. I downloaded the genina blackjack game and it's weird playing it with the morbid "death predicter" blue banner click thing at the top. Or the spy text messages, or marry predictor. I know it's free but still. There should be a way to block this right? It wasn't there a few days ago and now they randomly poped up and it's creepy (the death one) and just annoying seeing them.

Annoying ads/pop-ups on home screen

Monday 04th of March 2013 /
Since I got my S3 I've constantly had ads in my notification-bar. I have managed to get rid of them by unchecking the push-box on each app.But the last weeks some new ads have been poping up on my screen, both in apps and on my home screen. The ads says "Play trivia for free", "Win the new iphone" and similar. I have to press "no thanks." or "download" to get them away. They appear in black windows with gray buttons.I have only installed apps from the market. How do I get rid of them?

Unwanted Ads - AirPush Detector and Airblocker not helping.

Friday 30th of November 2012 /
My Galaxy Player 5.0 was working fine, and then I decided to try downloading live wallpapers. I did not understand that some of these live wallpapers could make ads pop up. I uninstalled all of the live wallpapers except for one, which will not uninstall. The ads stopped showing up on the main page, but they keep showing up when I play Cut the Rope. Before an ad would show at the bottom of the screen every once and-a-while while I played Cut the Rope, but now a full page ad shows up every time I complete a level. The full page ads are always for games called Tiny Village and Tiny Monsters. I tried downloading AirPush Detector and Airblocker, but neither of them are helping. What should I do? Should I reset the Cut the Rope game? Or does Cut the Rope add ads as you play it? Does anyone know how to get rid of the this last live wallpaper? When I go to "Settings --> Applications --> Manage Applications" it does not show up. And I have tried to go back to the Play Store and find it again, but I can't find it. The wall paper is named "Galaxy" and when I search &qu

Friday 02nd of November 2012 /
Hi. Does anyone else receive those opt+ out ads that pop-up on your notification bar? It's like a text msg. I never open them for fear of them getting wildly out of control, or getting more than one at a time from every advertiser getting my address from just looking at one.How do I get rid of them without opening one? Thanks.Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Droid Forums

uploaded pics from Evo to laptop, wow!

Monday 04th of July 2011 /
There were over 820 pictures uploaded and there were a total of 126 in the gallery?! They were pictures of movie ads from searching I suppose, and tons of other things. How much data does all of this use and how do I get rid of it? No wonder I keep having the "limited space " indicator pop up in the notification bar. Help please? Thanks, Derek

How to get rid of popup ads?

Friday 19th of July 2013 /
Hi everyone, first time poster. I have a problem with pop-up adds on my phone. These are not notifications, I have disabled those for all apps and don't get any spam in my notifications area. These are pop-up adds that pop up and must be dismissed before I can proceed with using the device. I find that they most commonly appear when I resume the phone from sleep. I have attached a screen shot of one so you can see what I'm talking about. I have installed the various apps recommended in this and other forums (addons detector, airpush detector, ad network detector) and run scans. These show that I do have several ad networks on the phone and associate them with apps. My question is now that I have this information how do I proceed? Is there a way to determine which add network(s) are doing the popups so I can remove just those games? Will removing the offending game(s) also remove the add network or are there further steps required to do that? Thanks in advance for any help!

How do I get rid of pop-ups randomly that display randomly and take over the whole screen?

Tuesday 10th of February 2015 /
I just got a HTC one M7 phone (I was previously using a nexus 4) and I installed all my regular apps from google play. They're the same ones I was using on my other phone (whatsapp, instagram, bbm ) and I believe they're safe. I also have mobogenie which was pre-installed on the phone. The problem started after I allowed mobogenie to install some apps on my phone. I cleared them and even did a factory reset. However, after re-installing my safe apps (not from mobogenie), I still have those same issues. The ads continue popping up randomly, new apps install by themselves but I'm warned and quickly delete them, and there's just no way to uninstall mobogenie. I need help cos this is frustrating and I never had these issues with my nexus 4.
