How to get unlimited data for new customers...must be 4g phone
Saturday 03rd of December 2011
I learn a lot from this forum so I just wanted to give back something I picked up from another forum. It took me 2 tries but I got it.I actually just switched to Verizon on thursday from sprint...and YES, I have unlimited data and here is how. I started off with the 5gb data(10gb with promotion) and my cost with my discount was $41 for that data plan....I saw on another forum that if you requested the unlimited 4g hotspot on your phone they will switch you to an unlimited data plan. I thought it was hogwash so I called and asked the first rep and she told me I couldnt. I called back and told the next rep that I saw the unlimited 4g hotspot feature on the myVerizon page but when I tried to add it, I was instructed to contact customer service. The rep said, no problem, I just need to add unlimited data to your plan first and then I can add the hotspot. The whole process was done in 30 secs. Now I have unlimited data and hotspot for a total of $45/month with my discount. Awesome. Some people went back into their account and removed the hotspot feature and the unlimited data stuck. I dont

BlinkFeed: how to clear data?
Sunday 10th of November 2013
For the last 3 or 4 days my HTC One's BlinkFeed screen keeps failing to update. Even if I try to force it, nothing happens so I figure I may just need to clear its data as that seems to help with other apps, however I can't seem to find a BlinkFeed app when exploring the All Apps section of the device nor do I find some sort of clear cache option for it. Anyone know how I can fix this? Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk

dual sim: how to disable completely data for the second sim
Monday 26th of May 2014
Hi, I have a Be.SOCIAL SC020 with Android 4.1.2, which has two SIM slots. I want to make sure that SIM2 never, ever connects to the Internet, though I do want to use it for calls and SMSs. Under Settings, I can't find any setting for enabling/disabling data completely per-sim. (There is an option for enabling/disabling data *roaming* per sim). There _is_ a setting under Data Usage for putting a limit for data consumption: there you can set a warning threshold and a limit. However, while the warning can be set to 0MB, the lowest value you can set for the limit is 1MB (I know, so stupid...). Up to now, I haven't detected any data usage on sim2, but my fear is that at any moment when the data network for sim1 may become temporarily unavailable for any reason, sim2 may be used for data. Even if I have set the 1MB limit, sim2's operator will charge me a fixed amount per week if I use non-zero data. So how do I disable data completely for sim2 while keeping data enabled for sim1 and keeping sim2 enabled for voice and sms?
