Finding Nexus 7 serial number

Wednesday 12th of September 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
My Nexus 7 has stopped working - no lights and not a flicker on the screen. I have tried different chargers with no success. I have tried to return it to Asus by they require the serial number and I no longer have to box. Does anyone have any idea where I might find it? I've looked to see if its logged in my GooglePlay account but have had no joy. Thanks

How to recover Nexus 7 (2012) Bootloader Fail

Tuesday 20th of August 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello, I've really blown it this time. I tried to hack my brand new Nexus 7 (18 days old....ugh) and I think I screwed up the bootloader by trying to uninstall a ROM named Paranoid. That is when it happened. Now whenever I start up the bootloader and try to hit recovery mode there is a small message that says "Boot Failed". Ugh. The problem is that I can't restart my Nexus and I cannot re-install my Android operating system....it is in TOTAL LOCKDOWN and now it won't go past the Google start up screen. I've tried as many recovery methods as I can find without any success. Does anyone know ANYWAY to get my Nexus back to original factory settings. Please help! Thanks, Tomas

how to find nexus 7 with android device manager

Wednesday 11th of September 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
My son's nexus 7 was removed from my house without our knowledge. Using Android Device Manager, we can see when it was last used, but it cannot locate the device. I can find my nexus 7 after enabling google maps to use my location. Is it possible to remotely make that happen? Can law enforcement make that happen?

How to enable Nexus 7 USB Debugging Mode ?

Friday 08th of August 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello Guys, I hope you all are doing well, I have a problem with my Nexus 7 (2012) and i Hope you to help me.. First of all, I am a noob in these things, so whatever you say, explain it with details please, Thanks already.. My problem is a bit complicated (for me), My device ran out of battery and i (stupidly) left it in that status for 3 days before plug it to its wall charger, after an hour and i half, i turn it on and surprisingly it doesnt boot the Android OS. It just shows the GOOGLE logo with 4 options "START" "RESTART BOOTLOADER" "RECOVERY MODE" "POWER OFF" (the same options of the bootloader menu, but with the Google logo in this case). When i select these options, NONE of them work, the only one that works is Power Off. so I assumed my Tablet is "Bricked". I am trying to flash it completely to return it back to stock, i have seen some good tutorials using the SDK Manager or the Nexus Root Toolkit as well. But THE REAL PROBLEM is that both methods are asking me to have the USB Debugging Mode AVAILABLE, but to enable it i ha

how to bypass nexus 7 (2012) pass code if screen is disfunctinal?

Monday 17th of November 2014 / androidforums.com
A few months ago I dropped my old tablet (at that time it was my only one) and it rendered the screen completely useless. The tablet boots and sound works (a month after I bought the 2013 Nexus 7 I heard the battery warning go off on my old tablet) but the screen won't even come on. I need to get everything off of it, like pictures and other junk that I don't remember, but its got a 4 digit pass code. The tablet also is not rooted and has the latest Kit Kat version on it.Does anyone know of a way that I could bypass the password or another way?
