Won't Re-charge? How to fix it.

Wednesday 14th of September 2011 /
I've had my Tab for about 10 months. A couple of days ago, I thought I'd run the battery down. But I could not get the device to recharge. I'd plugged into my work computer's usb. Didn't take a charge. My car charger: wouldn't take a charge. I'd even left it plugged in for 24 hours to my home computer, but still no luck. The solution: charge in on the Samsung USB charger. As you probably know by now, the Galaxy Tab needs a 1.5 amp USB power supply to charge at full speed. It will charge slowly on a 0.5 amp USB power supply as long as the device is powered down. And it will run without depleting the battery as well, but will not recharge. One more wrinkle apparently: if you totally discharge the battery, then you will need to charge it on a 1.5 amp charger instead of a 0.5 amp charger. Kinda relieved. I thought I'd lost it. :-P

is my charger jack broken too?

Sunday 16th of June 2013 /
I don't understand exactly what happened but my samsung galaxy note tablet 2 (10.1)'s charger broke. It's bent slightly back (metal part) and I noticed that there are small cracks on each side . I bent it back into place and tried to see if my tab would charge but to no avail. I'm pretty sure that I would have to get a new charger but I'm worried that the charger jack is broken too. Is there any way of finding out? If it is broken, how do I fix it ? Thanks

[Help!] Galaxy Tab 7+ Dead (?)

Tuesday 31st of December 2013 /
My galaxy tab 7+ won't turn on, display is dead. Connected to a charger, nothing happening. Haven't used it for quite a while. The bottom-left corner (screen facing me) is quite warm when connected to the charger, with the rest of the tab rather cool. Tried holding down power button for as long as possible, nothing. It was running rooted stock ICS normally. After some weeks of not using it, it went into this state. Did i just hardbrick my tab? How can i fix it? Will Samsung Philippines be able to service my tab even if it's out of warranty? Thanks!

Galaxy Tab refuses to charge and it also BLINKS/flashes!

Thursday 30th of January 2014 /
Hello everyone! I need your help! Today when I got home my samsung galaxy tab 3 7.0 refuses to charge! I plugged it into the wall adapter using the charger provided when I purchased my tablet. When I charge my tablet I tend to turn my device off, therefore when I turned it off and plugged it into the wall adapter it started blinking and the battery picture didn't show up to let me know how much battery has been charged. The device goes from dark (the color when the device is completely shutted down) to then a brighter color, sort of like the brightness was turned up a bit. This is the first time this has happened to me and I'm not sure why this is happening, does anyone have any suggestions to fix it? Prior to this, I also had a problem where my battery had a red X one night, I unplugged it from the wall adapter and plugged it into the computer and it disappeared and started charging. However later that night I had 60% of battery and when I plugged it into the wall adapter it went down to 0%. After it started charging again it went back to normal. Does this have anything to do with t

Faulty battery

Friday 29th of August 2014 /
I have had my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 for about 4 months nw. At 1st when i charge it from 5/20% back to 100% fully charged it would of had no problems charging. But now most of the time i charge it it goes from 5/20% and it gets struck on any number like 25%, 40%, 67% , 92% and never goes back to 100% fully charged unless i replug the charger back in or restart the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and after it charges again. I don't know why this it is happening, I had never had this problem on my old Galaxy Tab 2 7. How do i fix this faulty battery and will it get worse in the future as i be planning to use Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 for a least 2/3 years. Should i be worried? On a side note: i haven't completely drained the battery to the full.

Samsung Galaxy TAB won't turn on or charge

Tuesday 23rd of September 2014 /
I have a Samsung tablet (ce0168) purchased in 2013 that has run well for several months. I set it aside for a little while with the power off and now am shocked to find it totally unresponsive after hours of charging. I have tried several of the hardware resets involving volume buttons, the power button, and the home button, but none provoke a response. Now, it's charging in a different charger just to see; however, even the charging light does not come on. I have tested the cable on the Bluetooth keyboard, which is charging just fine, so it's not that, nor the previous charger. How can I fix this myself? I'm not in a position to send it to Samsung at the moment. Even a temporary fix will work.

Issue with Slow Charging Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4

Saturday 20th of June 2015 /
I just recently purchased a Galaxy Tab pro 8.4 for myself and I noticed that the tablet takes a REALLY long time to recharge. The battery life itself is perfectly fine, I can easily get 7+ hours SoT out of it with what I do on it, but right now it takes so long to recharge the tablet. I get about 7% an hour with the tablet turned off and plugged into the wall to charge.I timed it today and this is what I got (starting from 0%) Battery at:0% at 2:40pm13% at 4:40pm25% at 6:30pm32% at 7:30pm38% at 8:30pm 6 hours to get 40% charge? That doesn't seem right, I read reviews on this tablet and people were saying they got a full charge from 10-20% in a couple hours. Any idea what the problem could be or how to fix this? edit: The charger adapter I use says it is a travel adapter 5.0V/2.0A it came with the tablet along with the cable I use
