how to I restore with Titanium backup on my new phone?
Tuesday 27th of August 2013
My phone was recently damaged (galaxy S4) and they fedex'd me a new phone overnight. I got the new phone today and rooted it and installed Titanium backup.. now how do I use that backup to restore this phone back to the way my old phone was? I have the titanium backup files on my SD card and I've already inserted that and even copied the backup from my SD card to my internal storage... so now I have a backup on both my SD card and in my internal storage.. but when I go to restore under titanium backup it does not seem to be reading that I have a backup anywhere on the phone. How do I have titanium backup locate that backup file and then use it to restore this phone to the way my other phone was?
"Call" (dialer") icon deleted by guy at party, how to reinstall stock dialer?
Sunday 08th of December 2013
Hey, i'm older, this galaxy s4 is my first smartphone. I had an "update" from android, and after I updated, I could no longer add new contacts to my contact list. Mentioned this at a party, some guy who said he knew how to fix that, took my phone, and I saw him clicking on the "force stop" and I asked him, "are you SURE you should do that?"and he replied, "oh yes, yes, I do this all the time to my son's phone" and i'm not sure what all else he did, but nowmy "call" icon and my contacts are gone. Can't dial the phone. no, it's not in the "play store".So I ran to sprint store, they had not seen a missing stock dialer before. and they did locate the file for the stock dialer, but could not reinstall it. They randomly chose some dialer from the play store, and installed that one, but, it's terrible, covered with ads, no features at all.And my contact list is now all jumbled together, (but, luckily, IS still there, but now, all 500 emails are now jumbled in with phone numbers, it's a nightmare). They said, i'll probably have to w

How to turn GPS Off without disabling all the Location features?
Monday 10th of November 2014
Guys, I really need help with this S5 Mini 'issue'. First of all the Android phones have two important features that would help us to locate the phone in case someone lose the phone (or in case of a steal): Google Location History and Google Device Manager. Galaxy S5 Mini has some shortcuts of the top of the screen to enable/disable some stuff like Wi-fi, Bluetooth, Screen Rotation,......., and Location. The problem is that when you disable the Location it deactivates all functions about location, including Google Location History and Google Device Manager. In previous versions of the phone, like the S4 Mini, the button was called GPS. And then...when you disabled that feature only the GPS was disabled but all the other location features used to remain enabled. So... my question is... How can I disable only the GPS on the S5 mini without turning off the other features?
How to access "Record My Call" recordings from a laptop
Thursday 01st of January 2015
I have a Galaxy S3 with a broken screen (as in completely black). I have several calls recorded using the "Record My Call" app for Android that I need to recover from this phone. I have unsuccessfully tried to connect the phone to my laptop to locate the files . Are these calls in a cloud or on the phone? Does anyone have any suggestions I can try? The phone repair guys suggested paying $60 to get a new screen but I have already replaced the phone and would prefer not to spend the money. Thank you!
