A few question about my new S5 from a die hard Apple guy......

Wednesday 06th of August 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Switched over to a GS5 from an iPhone 5s a few weeks ago. I have been annoyed with Apple for quite some time. Thought it was time to give Android a try. I have been reading, researching, and watching videos, trying to avoid starting a new thread asking dumb questions. I have to though, sorry....... 1. Why is it that when I save photos from Google images to my photos, I can not send them via text message? I tried sending them to my wife's iPhone 5, but it wouldn't let me. I then sent them in an email and she could not view them? Never had that problem on my iPhone. 2. I tried using NICL for lock screen notifications, sort of like my iPhone, but it was too annoying with all of the alerts having to choose this and that. I thought they would be satisfied and go away after a few days of answering them, but no luck. I then tried another app, SwipeLock or something like that. It was EXTREMELY buggy. Is there no easy way to see what emails I get, messenger alerts, or game alerts without unlocking my phone? I figured out how to see texting alerts, though it is pretty crappy the way you can't

Facebook Messenger - Unable to save photos

Sunday 28th of September 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
I've recently made the switch from an iPhone 5 to a Samsung Galaxy s5. I love the phone, but I've also ran into a problem. So here I am to pick the brains of all you knowledgeable people. I use Facebook messenger on a regular basis to keep in contact with friends and family. We often trade pictures and I do save some of them that are sent to me. However, when I press the save image button in the chat, it doesn't save it anywhere in my gallery. Where are they going and how do I get them? Also, I have no option to save previously shared photos when I open the list of them. I talked to my friend who has the same phone and he has an album that contains the messenger pictures and even updates when he's sent new ones. I asked him how he set it up and he said it did automatically. My instagram app did this for me and keeps a folder of ones I post, so I'm thinking it's possible for Facebook messenger to do the same. Any help would be appreciated on this, as I've found nothing online to remedy the problem. Thanks so much in advance. Posted via the Android Central App
