Need help with erasing phone and restoring all data after fresh install

Wednesday 15th of May 2013 / androidforums.com
I am new to android and have had my new Galaxy S4 for only 5 days now. Several key features have not been working and after taking my phone into the Samsung experience center at Best Buy, they cant figure out why these features are not working and told me that I should reset the phone back to factory settings to see if that restores these features. So far, my new phone will not let me take a screen shot by waiving my hand over the screen, will not allow me to add additional lock screens which is something it is capable of doing now, the air touch preview thing is not working right, and some of the stock apps are giving me voice feedback when my voice stuff is all turned off in accessibility. I have been an iPhone user for 6 years and I have to say that my brief experience with android is not proving to be a very good one right now. So with all of that said, I need to restore my phone and then I need to get ALL of my data, apps and stuff back on it. Coming from the iPhone, I am use to iTunes taking care of all of this without a glitch and restoring my phones back to EXACTLY the way i

Installed 2.2, then did factory reset, now having problems with some apps!!!???!!!

Monday 23rd of August 2010 / droidforums.net
Alright, so I downloaded the leaked version of 2.2 last night, and after a while, I decided I wanted to root my phone. Well, turns out I cant do that with 2.2 yet, but i thought If I did a hard factory reset, it would somehow revert back to 2.1. very wishful thinking. attempt of course failed. Anyway, I backed up my apps and contacts, etc...and when I was done with the restore process, I found that I needed to re-install 2 of my most used apps: My Work ScheduleandMobile Banking For Android The Problem is, when I find them (in AppBrain, because they wont show up in regular market) and try to install, I get an error message that says Not Found! The requested item could not be found. For both of these apps. Is there anything I need to do to be able to "find" these? Also, I had paid for the full version of EasyTether a couple weeks ago, and it is no longer in my phone, or saved in my apps in the market, so if anyone can figure out that one too that would be amazing. Please and Thanks!

Tried to factory Reset after deleting crucial files

Tuesday 25th of June 2013 / androidforums.com
So in the process of trying to free up some RAM and some disk space on my Huawei Ascend II i deleted the files that i needed to download apps off of the app store, so i thought i would just do a factory reset and it would bring back everything, and i was so so terribly wrong, now when i turn my phone on it is perpetually stuck on the "touch the android" screen, i can get messages in the notifications and even take a message and click options and make a call to the person that messaged me, but i cant get to the home screen or receive calls or make calls or do anything, it just goes back to the touch the android screen, and when i touch it nothing happens! i must have deleted something i needed to go through the set up. I have tried to download the OS and re install it, and it wont even do that, it just starts and once it starts installing it automatically aborts. Im using the same OS i used to downgrade when i first rooted it so i know it works. I am at a loss, and there is virtually no one else i can find on the internet with the same issue, i guess no one was dumb enough t

Need Help asap. Maybe I need to re format

Sunday 12th of January 2014 / androidforums.com
Hello,I rooted my phone and installed the rooted stock 4.3 from Beanstown " [Rom][I605VRUEMJ9][4.3] Stock Root Odex/Deodex [12/08/13]★ - xda-developers "I installed the deodexed version.I then followed the rest of the directions to fix the wifi, and also loaded the framework to gain wifi tether. The phone was working fine for a few days. Then I got the system UID error after the battery drained all the way over night.I could no longer run / install certain apps and I would get random reboots. I tried deleting those apps from data/data. this did help with most of the apps but not all. Regardless the UID error would not go away.SO I wiped the data . Factory reset. I wiped 3 or more times. Loaded the rom back. This time I didn't load the framework or the wifi fix. I believe those were still in effect because the wifi still worked and the wireless thether still worked. Now a whole bunch of apps still would not install. Very frustrating. A few days later I got the system UID error again,SO this morning I wiped the phone like 8 times. loaded the rom again. I still cant install

How do I re-install Google services on my SCH-I535

Tuesday 18th of March 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
I was using lucky patcher to play around with modding the play store when the next thing I know I no longer have a playstore. Somehow I not hid, but deleted it. After hours of trying to get it back, I get the bright idea of just doing a factory data reset. Now, all of my google processes (google play services, google locations services, google kapps services) are in constant crash state. My phone tells me that it does not support google services now. Please help. I cannot download anything at all now so no apps that could be useful, I factory restarted so all I have are the start up apps, and with this model, I cant unlock the bootloader without hard bricking my phone(done it twice already) so no flashing any kind of recovery. I even tried booting up in recovery mode to apply a recovery and yes you guessed it...no recovery in sight! ugh! One of you all wise android gu-roo's please help me... Feel free to message me here

Sunday 11th of January 2015 / forums.androidcentral.com
I am having problem while installing f-secure freedome app. First i used its stable version. Which worked fine. Due to some reason i factory reset my phone. While re-installing this app after reset i got error 24. I searched web for error. I tried various options but none of them worked. I did not wanted to reset phone immediately so i installed there beta version. It worked nice. Again after some days i did factory reset. I also formatted my sd card. Now i am unable to install both versions. This error 24 happening with frredome app only. Other apps workig fine. I also have apk file of this app. That also not helping. When Contacted devloper, they say this is google problem. They cant help. Any suggestion? I am using android unmodified 4.4.2.
