How to use Google+ with Android [and love it]

Tuesday 05th of July 2011 / androinica.com
The launch of Google+ reminds me an awful lot of Google Wave. You search feverishly for a golden ticket (invite) and then go crazy learning all of these new features, hoping that this incredible new communication tool will take-off. Meanwhile, you’re bombarded with invite requests and complaints from friends unable to get into the factory.Knock on wood, but it doesn’t seem like Google+ will make the same mistakes as Wave, Buzz, or any other social experiment that Google has failed at. After using the system for a few days and earning my wannabe expert cred, I feel good about what + could become. This will not be the Facebook or Twitter killer, but there’s a chance that this could be better than either of the social networking sites. Here are my thoughts and tips for using Google+ (and just to be clear, I cannot invite anyone because the invite mechanism and workarounds have been shutdown because of excessive demand). This concerns mainly the mobile experience using the Google+ Android app, which requires an invite to use.NotificationsThe second that you get into Plu

Phone will not turn on - plugging in just goes to LG logo loop

Thursday 23rd of February 2012 / androidforums.com
This morning I woke up to find my phone flashing on and off. I looked and the LG logo would come up, go off, come up, go off, etc. I unplugged the phone and the logo stopped and the power went off on the phone. I tried to boot it - nothing happened when I hit the power button. No lights, no screen, nothing.I tried plugging it into the computer and got the same LG boot loop. I took the battery out and it just tells me "Battery Required". It does not flash back and forth though, so I can assume that there's something wrong with the battery.I cannot get to recovery with the battery in or out. It refuses to boot at all. What can I do? I need my phone ASAP and I don't want to wait forever to get a new battery. And since I rooted, there's no way I can ship it back to VM.

please help. MID7024 recovery goes to black screen with penguin and thats it.

Friday 26th of August 2011 / androidtablets.net
i installed an gingerbread rom on my tablet a few weeks ago. it has been working alright. i had been able to switch roms by using the recovery menu all along. the other day after my battery drained completely i turned it on and now it dosent remember the time/date between it being turned off and flash has stopped working and it wont allow me to use the recovery menu. when i try to use it, it turns on and says "upgrade system activated" then the screen goes off then it comes back on says the same thing then it goes to a black screen with a penguin in the corner. it does this with every rom i have tried. it dosent matter if it is on the internal or the external sd and it dosent matter if i take both sd cards out it still does it. if i leave it on that page with the penguin after a while it goes back to the "upgrade system activated" page again but does nothing. the motherboard says 7024 v6 on it. if anyone can let me know how to fix this i would be greatly happy because i would really like to flash the new roms that have the camera working.

Monday 04th of November 2013 / droidforums.net
A few months ago a member made the comment that they wish LG would get more credit for the G2, well your wish has come true as consumers seem to be raving about it. According to Consumer Reports (10 Top Electronics - Consumer Reports) top 10 electronics the LG G2 is the "brilliant smart phone" ; with a 5.2 inch screen, an awesome camera, and easily customizable it is one of the best smart phones on the market and our members with device have been echoing that sentiment. Verizon Rolls Out Update To LG G2 With Advanced Calling 1.0 Improvements, LTE Data Roaming, And More

/ feedproxy.google.com
Verizon is sending out an update to the LG G2 with a number of tweaks and improvements, not all of which are new. Software buildVS98027A mostly revolves around changes to Verizon's Advanced Calling 1.0VoLTEsystem, but shares a number of features withVS98026A, which was a much more minor update. Here's the changelog for updateVS98027A.You know the drill—the update will appear on your phone in the next few days, assuming it's stock. This won't include any changes to the underlying Android version, and in fact, this update is almost entirely about changes to Verizon-specific calling features. The HD Voice capabilities will only work within the Verizon network right now, but we're still in the early days of VoLTE.[Verizon(PDF)] Tags:advanced calling 1.0 device updates LG G2 Verizon Wireless volte Ryan Whitwam Ryan is a tech/science writer, skeptic, lover of all things electronic, and Android fan. Nokia ICON to LG G4 with some concerns

Friday 12th of June 2015 / forums.androidcentral.com
So i am changing from my Nokia ICON to an LG G4. I used to be in to android a lot, but i have since changed as a user. I mostly just surf the web, facebook, and get on the chive. i know for a fact this is more phone then i need, but is there anything i should be looking into, to better my experience? Little concerned with some of the threads i have seen on here about people having issues with the phone. i also know tech guys can be hyper critical, and lets be on i'm no longer the techy i used to be so many of the things they rant about the average user won't notice or be bothered with. Do i need to be worried about this phone?
