Verizon to Straight Talk

Wednesday 16th of January 2013 /
Okay so Google searches and searching here hasn't really answered my question, so I'll ask. I have a HTC Droid Incredible, the contract ran up on it almost a year ago with Verizon, so it's just been a paper weight. Is there anyway I can make this phone straight talk?

Using LG Esteem on Verizon or Straight Talk??

Tuesday 02nd of July 2013 /
Ok... so, I have an LG Esteem phone and I'll soon be relocating to an area where MetroPCS is not available and I can't get a signal. However, Verizon and Straight Talk are available and have signals just fine. Is there anything that can be done to my LG Esteem in order to make it work on one of those two? Also, would I be able to have 3/4G at all? I don't want to be stuck on 1x with a 4G phone, you know? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I would hate to lose the Esteem, all because I can't use it on Verizon/Straight talk and then have to buy a new phone. The 3/4G is a big deal too but not an absolute must to have. Thanks in advance for any help/information!

HTC Evo 3d Switched from Sprint to Straight Talk (Need new PRL)

Monday 10th of February 2014 /
I have an HTC Evo 3D. I recently purchased this phone used. It was originally on the Sprint network. I bought this phone with the intention of activating it on Straight Talks service since they now support CDMA phones. I successfully got the phone activated through Straight Talk but here is my problem. I get great service when in the city and when I am close to the city. However out where I live I have almost no service at all. The reason being there are no sprint towers out there. There are, however, Verizon towers. When I used to have Verizon I never had a problem with a signal. My wife has a Straight Talk phone that gets a perfect signal from the Verizon towers where we live.I need to change the PRL of the HTC Evo 3d that I activated on Straight Talk so that it can roam on the Verizon towers instead of trying to always connect to Sprint towers. Can anyone help me with this? I do have the Qualcomm program that will let me change the prl on my phone but I do not have the prl files I need to install. Any help wouldbe greatly appreciated.

Switch from ATT to Straight Talk -- Good idea??

Sunday 23rd of February 2014 /
I'm very seriously thinking about switching from ATT to Straight Talk with the ATT compatible SIM. I have an ATT HTC One, I'm not under a contract, and I want to port my phone number. I've looked at various options and this seems like the best fit. Has anyone else attempted this exact conversion? Are there any pitfalls, weird configurations, ect that I should be aware of before making the switch? So far the only thing I've been able to find is that it can be tricky to get picture messaging working. I'm thinking with the ATT compatible SIM I shouldn't need to get the device unlocked, that's correct, right? Are there any other possible issues I should be aware of?

I have a Boost Samsung Galaxy 2 that I had flashed to Straight Talk (Verizon) everything worked fine initially, then some of my incoming texts were in Russian characters and were obviously unreadable.
