Music player skipping songs
Friday 25th of May 2012
hello yall, i apologize if ive started a redundant thread, the recommended ones seemed to not apply to my issue. i am a noob in the sense that this is my first post, though i have been surfing these forums for years and have got tons of knowledge from you all. ok on to the point; i am running a rooted lg marquee on boost, gb version 2.3.4, stock rom, go launcher. I was using the stock music player and it worked great then it began to randomly skip songs, on some songs it will play 2 seconds then jump to the next song, though it still says the total time of the track. i tried to play the songs on my pc they play fine, and so i downloaded google play music and it will play the tracks that get skipped on stock player, however in will not show the elapsed time of the tracks, nor can i slide to a particular point in the song, also if i browse to the file with root browser and long press the tracks the popout player plays them fine. i have googled till i was blue in the face to little avail, i have uncovered ppl with similar issues on iphone/ipod but they too seem baffled.i also reformatte
Music Player Skipping?
Thursday 14th of June 2012
Hello all, I having issues with my Samsung Stratosphere. This started just in the last couple of days and I have had the phone for just over a month. When I use the music player the music skips, for a fraction of a second but is still very noticeable. Very irritating. This is the case with the standard music player as well as Double twist. The music skips through the phones speaker and the aux cable. Music however does not skip through YouTube or any other internet browser. I have not heard the ring tone skip yet. I restarted the phone and it played through one song without skipping. I have all of the music on a 32gb memory card, about 16gb of music. Song-skipping problem in music player and pandora
Friday 16th of April 2010
I like to use both Pandora and the N1 music player at home and in the car. Unfortunately I've been experiencing the same problem with both of these apps. Here's what's been going on: Seems like it doesn't matter wether I'm using Pandora or the N1 player. For some strange reason, the audio tracks just start skipping as if I were selecting a new track. Especially frustrating is on the N1 player, the party shuffle mode will just activate on its own. I suspect it has something to do with the audio cable I'm pluggin into the audio jack for either home or car stereo, but I'm not sure. I don't think this should be happening. I doesn't happen when I use the earbuds that came with my N1. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Music choppy / skipping
Sunday 21st of March 2010
Well, I loaded all my music onto my Droid and started listening to it only to find that my music is choppy and skipping. Huge disappointment there. The files themselves are perfectly fine and play without a problem on my computer, MP3 player, etc.My guess is they just did a crappy job programming it so that the music player would allocate memory correctly so as to not skip. When I kill all the tasks and am only listening to music and doing nothing else, it isn't that bad. It's still present, which is unacceptable, but it gets really bad when trying to do anything else. Pretty lame considering one of this phone's main features is multitasking and I can't even check my email without my music getting choppy and skipping around. Sucks. Are others experiencing this? Are there any solutions? I'm running 2.1 Bugless Beast 0.8, by the way.
Skipping problem with the music player
Monday 29th of March 2010
Using the HTC music player and it is acting strangely. When I have it in my pocket (with the screen locked) it seems to keep skipping about between tracks. I can recreate this effect by tilting it backwards and forwards and it skips a track. I at first thought it would be helped by turning off the accelerometer, but there seems no obvious way of doing that. What I have since noticed is that sometimes the player detects my headphones as a headset (a headset icon appears in the top bar) and then I get these problems. When it actually detects them as headphones, which gives a slightly different icon, it seems to actually work perfectly. It seems to be just luck as to which it recognises as, and it makes it useless as a music player. Anyone had any problems like this or any idea of a setting which might fix this? Thanks
Music player skipping... cause?
Tuesday 04th of May 2010
About every 2 mins, the music player pauses for a second of silence and then resumes.I have a 16 GB MicroSD that I bought at MicroCenter a long while back. It's branded MicroCenter but made by Ricoh. In any event, I put 9 GB of MP3s on it last night by just copying them to the MicroSD (after a full format, not a quick format). Now, I would fault the card but, it plays fine in my Blackberry without skips. Any solution here? Would it make a difference if I formatted the card in Linux instead of Windows or something like that?
Stock music player shake to skip?
Monday 24th of June 2013
Hi! I've an I9505, bought in the UK. I use the stock android music player, but have had Winamp on there, though have since deleted it.The music player skips a track when the phone is shaken. Or bumped. Or breathed on heavily.I ride my bike, listening to music on a pair of Sennheiser mobile phone capable headphones, but it also does it with a pair of crappy Sony headphones that I use at the office. There is no option in the music player's settings, and I've disabled every touch sensitive/Smart View/gesture type setting in the phone settings. How the hell can I stop it skipping when I do so much as fart?!Thanks in advance for your help!
Music player skipping
Sunday 01st of September 2013
I've just been on a driving holiday and used my S3 (4.1.2) as a Sat Nav and music player. I noticed that the music was skipping, which has never happened before. I bought the phone a year ago and used it on another driving holiday and this problem didn't occur.I was using Google Maps and the stock music player both holidays. When the screen is on and Maps is running the music did not skip once, but when the screen is turned off or Maps is closed the music starts to skip a second or so. It does this on all tracks, even ones that have played fine before and the Aux cable is fitted properly. Also when turning the screen on again and swiping to unlock this causes the music to skip. Any ideas please?
Music player skipping songs and no longer supporting audio files
Monday 07th of July 2014
I got my phone second hand about 4 months ago, and it worked great until recently my music players starting acting up, skipping songs and pausing like 5-10 seconds before going on to the next song, but when I woke up this morning, and tried to turn on my work out playlist it went through the better part of my music with a notification that said 'sorry, the player dose not support this type of audio file' this are all songs have been playing up to this point, until it would play one song then do the same thing over again. When i checked later, out of 200 songs maybe 30 play, all my music is MP3's, this is strange because its only affecting my music, all audio books and fics (also MP3's) i have on the phone all work without a hitch.... Help please!I've tried taking all the songs off and putting them back on, (individually and seeing if they each worked (no) and as a set)tried moving all the songs to my download folder with my audio books and ficstried clearing the cacheput all the music on a SD card and still the same results,80-85% of my music not working
