[REQ] App for using tablet to show powerpoint presentation on LCD

Thursday 24th of February 2011 / androidtablets.net
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab and a Droid X, both of which will output to external video. I would love to lose my laptop and simply carry the tablet to business presentations. Unfortunately, while I can hook the tablet up to a projector just fine, none of the currently available apps work for this purpose. QuickOffice has a slideshow mode that goes full-screen, but it renders the slides really crappy. It also times automatically with no way to stop it unless you manually stop and start the show on every slide. That's stupid. Documents to Go renders the slides the best, but has no slideshow mode whatsoever. So you get the annoying title of the presentation AND your taskbar showing on the screen the whole time. How dumb is that?? OfficeSuite Viewer renders decent (not as good as D.T.G.) and also has a full screen slideshow mode, but again an automatic timer that cannot be shut off. WTF!?!?! ThinkFree comes the closes to what I need. Has slideshow mode, and does not automatically advance, but still renders some slides a little crappy. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE someone help me find the bes

Charging issues after Lollipop 5.0.2 update on Galaxy Tab S

Friday 03rd of April 2015 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello android smart people! I have a number of questions about my Galaxy S tab. A few days ago my tablet updated to Lollipop 5.0.2. Since then it won't charge while in use and even when shut down it's charging very slowly. It's not the charger, and I've cleared the cache. I just want KitKat back, but I'm worried about messing around too much with Android on my own. I'm by far the most tech savvy of everyone I know, so help is out of the question. 1. If I factory reset will it reset back to KitKat? 2. After factory reset will it automatically update back to Lollipop? Can I turn this feature off? 3. Will the back up data feature, back up things like all the data for games like Family Guy? I've put a lot of time and $5 into that stupid game and a few others. Thanks for any advice! I've had five android devices, all Galaxy, and I've never been so unhappy.

Why does my Samsung Galaxy S3 shut down when I plug in the charger?

Thursday 16th of April 2015 / forums.androidcentral.com
The last several times when I've gotten the battery low alert and I've plugged it into the white brick charger, my tablet powers off. This only happens when I plug it in after getting the alert: if I plug it in before getting the alert, it charges and goes on about its merry way. When it shuts down, it'll show a "drained" battery icon with a little "loading" circle. After about 30 seconds (during which the tablet is completely unresponsive), it'll show 20% or so in the battery icon. At that point, I can boot. When it finishes booting, there are several things of note:1. The battery is usually at 25% or higher.2. The wifi connection will not reconnect without manually turning wifi off and back on again.3. Sometimes (not all the time), the clock has been reset to midnight on 1/1/2008. This breaks the ability to use most apps until you reset the clock (the S3 can only be manually reset, unlike the S4 which can synchronize online). Anyone else run into this?
