Restore Apps and Data from Droid2G to Droid4G using Rerware MyBackup Pro

Sunday 23rd of September 2012 /
I just replaced my D2G with a D4G. I used Rerware MyBackup Pro on the D2G too backup the device. My question - Can you restore to a D4G including all the settings, data, apks etc. Or should I just restore APKs and some of the data and forget the settings. What is the best way of going about this?

Move apps and data from Incredible to Droid X

Wednesday 04th of August 2010 /
I am replacing my HTC Incredible with a Droid X today and I was wondering if there is a way to transfer all of my apps and data (contacts, music, pictures etc.) from the Incredible to the Droid X. I am willing to consider free or paid apps for this purpose, but my Incredible is not rooted and has not been upgraded to Froyo as of yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Need help transferring Apps to replacement DroidX

Tuesday 18th of October 2011 /
Hello All,I'm new to the forum. My GPS would randomly not work requiring a complete power off and power back on to restore functionality. I finally got the phone replaced but wanted to transfer everything from my old phone to the new. One place on the web said to transfer all Apps to the SD card. I did that, but they are not showing up on the new phone. What am I doing wrong? I need to return the old phone so need an answer ASAP. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

Need help transferring apps and data from Bionic to new S4

Sunday 16th of June 2013 /
I downloaded My Backup Pro on my Bionic and created a backup of my apps, music, etc. I also backed up my data too. I saved them to my sd card, and I am able to find them on the card when I search in Astro File Manager. On the S4 I downloaded the My Backup Pro app, and tried to restore. It said that the path was incorrect, so I looked on my Bionic and the path listed in My Backup Pro is "/mnt/sdcard-ext". So I typed that in for the new backup location and hit ok. I get this message: "Error: the path that you entered is not valid, your change was not saved."In Astro, the path specified for my Apps and Media is: "/storage/sdcard1/reware/MyBackup/AllAppsBackups/AppsMedia_2013_06_16"The path specified for my Data is: "/storage/sdcard1/reware/MyBackup/AllAppsBackups/Data_2013_06_16"Is there a different path I need to specify to the S4 to get my apps on it? If so, any ideas? The path specified in the box before I try to input "/mnt/sdcard-ext" is "/storage/emulated/0" if that helps anyone...*I also made a copy of the folder "/s

Need help recovering accidentally deleted data, from galaxy young. Linux Mint is my os.

Sunday 06th of October 2013 /
I accidentally deleted an important msg thread from my Samsung Galaxy Young. So I need some kind of tool which does this, but I can't find one that works for linux.Googleing, you get many fixes and tools. Too many to properly judge which are trustworthy.I could not find one which has a linux version.I tied running [this][android data recovery dot com] over Wine (windows emulator), but it would not work:"Runtime error (at 18:408Could not call proc."Does anyone know how I can recover accidentally deleted text messages from my phone?edit: either by a linux mint program which does the job, or a method of getting my linked program to work on Wine.

Migrate apps and data from Nexus 4 to Nexus 5

Wednesday 06th of November 2013 /
What's the best way to get my apps and data from my Nexus 4 to my Nexus 5, that should be here tomorrow. My phones are not rooted. Will My Backup Pro do it? I have that. Can I just install it on both, use it to backup the Nexus 4, copy the backup files to the Nexus 5, and restore? Is there a better way?

Help restoring Apps after switching from S2 to S3

Monday 12th of May 2014 /
I got my wife an S3 for Mother's day and tonight, sat down to transfer all of her data from her S2. I used the Smart Switch app and along with Contacts, pictures ect. I included her apps. Problem is not all of them switched over. I figured i'd just re-download them again from Google Play Store from the S3, however the apps "appear" to be installed. I've check to see if the missing apps were selected as hidden but there's nothing there. I'm unable to uninstall and reinstall again. Her Gmail app isn't even visible anywhere on the device....have I missed a step in doing the switch from S2 to S3? Should I be signing her out of Google Play on the S2, and if so does anyone know how to go about signing out of Google Play Store. I'm at a total loss on this and ANY assistance would be greatly appreciated here.
