Galaxy S2 Low on space & not enough storage error (SOLVED)
Friday 01st of March 2013
Hi all,Firstly, I have checked on loads of forums and sites about this and no threads or solutions provided much insight on how to resolve this. Most thread owners just simply stated they had this problem but did not go into any detail as to what they have installed and the storage capacity numbers their phones are specifying to them. That's why i am seeking my answer on my own thread. Please, dont redirect me to some other thread or another website. Please, if you have some time and are willing - help me out. Thank you.I am currently with a big problem on my phone. I cannot install anything and I cannot update any apps.I randomly get the "low on space - phone storage space is getting low" notification, and I get an error message when i try to install a new app or update an exisiting one: error: not enough storage spaceHere is what I have done up to now to try and rectify the problem:- Root the phone and get Root App Delete to disable junk apps that come with the phone, and disabled every bit of non essential app needed, including themes and widgets that i dont use- Move ev
Package File invalid / Not Enough Storage Space
Thursday 03rd of January 2013
I can't seem to get app updates on my phone anymore. I keep getting an error that says that I don't have enough storage space (or sometimes it tells me that the package file is invalid) I've run the storage manager numerous times and I've uninstalled a few apps but I keep getting the same messages. as far as I can tell I have 169MB of free space of internal storage. What could possibly be keeping me from installing or updating at this point?!

'Not enough storage space' persistent after uninstalling apps & deleting files
Friday 12th of July 2013
My 16GB Note had been displaying the 'Storage space running out' message off and on, so I moved as much user data (pics, videos etc.) as I could off the tablet and uninstalled a number of apps. After finishing this the storage displayed it was just over half full. Several hours later I went back to the tablet, no rebooting or shutting off in the meantime, and the 'Storage space...' message was displaying again, and it tells me I have 317MB available. There is not enough room to replace the apps or files I had deleted! The category with the largest amount in storage is 'Miscellaneous', with 7.31GB, in particular cloudagent with 6.58GB. As I have Dropbox installed on here, I am thinking it must be storing data locally? I can't see why the storage would have increased so drastically overnight, however. I am running the stock OS, Android version 4.1.2, model GT-N8010 Regards,Simone.
Difficulty freeing up storage space
Sunday 28th of July 2013
Hi All, I am currently having difficulty with not having enough storage space available on my Samasung Galaxy II device. In the storage folder the details are as follows: Device memoryTotal space: 1.97 GBApplications: 463 MBAvailable: 269 MB USB Storage:Total space: 11.50 GBApplications: 196MBetc.Available: 9.72 GB -First solution (suggested by a vodafone rep) was to delete all unnecessary apps. I deleted most of them, but it didn't make much difference. -Second solution was to transfer my apps to SD card. I had done this previously with a few of my apps. I tried to do this again, but now when I tap transfer to SD card it says "Unable to move app. Not enough storage space" or the 'move to SD card' is greyed out and not an option to select even though this app was downloaded by me.-Third solution was to delete all of my apps so that I then had enough space for download of a single app 'App2SD'. Downloaded successfully. It informs me that there are 3 apps available to move to SD card. Try to move them to SD card and it but says that there is not enough storage space.-Fourth s
Help me stop this annoying low storage space message.
Tuesday 30th of July 2013
I've had my HTC One S for a year now & have never really had much bother with it. Definitely nothing major. But now - for the past week - it is doing my head in. A message keeps popping up every 30 seconds saying "Low storage space" with the explanation under it "There is not enough storage space available to complete this action. Please clear some space and try again" then I can only click ok to make it go away. Now, obviously I'm not stupid, & I know what this means, however, I've already deleted loads of apps & other things, moved apps & stuff around etc, but this annoying message still pops up, & it does so from every 10 seconds to a minute. Really annoying.I am not prepared to reset the factory settings unless I am 100% sure I can back up EVERYTHING.I have important message threads I want to keep, can I do so?Also all my pictures, apps, music etc.Is it possible to simply back up absolutely everything on the phone?Or, is there another way I can rectify this problem?
Not enough storage space
Thursday 03rd of October 2013
My moms phone (Samsung galaxy rush) was stuck on "Samsung" boot screen for a while and would do a quick vibrate once in a while. Says theres not enough storage space but theres plenty of space available. Obviously cant move apps to sd card, not rooted. Has the Android system logo and exclamation point next to it in notification area, slide it down, and the date was 01-05-1980. That seems to be gone now. Wondering why its doing that and how to prevent/fix it.
Not enough storage space
Wednesday 25th of June 2014
My son's Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is telling me that I have no storage space left. He's always had trouble with space for apps because of the 8G internal storage, only about 4.5 is available. We found a way to move the obb files from his 2 larger games (Fifa 14 and NFS) to an external SD card when he's not playing the game. So basically, he'll have one of the two games on the internal storage and one on the SD card and then he'll switch them when he wants to play the other game. Bit of a pain, but it seemed to work. However, this week when he was trying to switch the games, it didn't work. Right now, both obb files are on the external SD card and neither is on the internal storage. When I go into settings and look at the storage, only 2.2 GB is taken up by applications, 168KB by audio and 385MB by miscellaneous files. There ought to be plenty of space left, but I keep getting a "not enough space" message whenever I try to do anything. Is there a solution to this problem??
