2.2 froyo - Phone calls - the other person can't hear me

Friday 29th of April 2011 / android.stackexchange.com
My phone has just started having a problem where on phone calls, the other person can't hear me. They just hear some static. I can hear them just fine. It's the same whether I call them or they call me. I tried restarting my phone, I looked at the settings and couldn't see anything obvious whereby I could have muted myself. I tried turning the call on Speaker and off again - no difference.Any ideas? If it's relevant, my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S running Froyo.

Other people cant hear me talk

Thursday 10th of May 2012 / androidforums.com
Just bought the Galaxy Note LTE about 2 weeks ago. About 70% of my calls, the person on the other end cannot hear me talking at all for about a minute. After that minute is up, they can hear me for a good 10 minutes, and then its back to not hearing me. Is this a software issue? Hardware? Does anyone else have the issue or is it just me?

phone calling problem, other person cant hear me

Monday 02nd of September 2013 / androidforums.com
After looking around I see that this is a common problem with the samsung s3. I've done everything suggested... turned off noise reduction in call settings, made sure mute isn't on. its definitely not a problem with my internal mic. Whether i make the call or receive the call, the other person cannot hear me. if i use speakerphone or my earphones then the person can hear me. if i try to have a conversation using just my phone, they cannot hear. my firmware is up to date, mic problems is ruled out, done every suggested fix available and still no joy. this is REALLY FRUSTRATING ME. especially as I'm paying out for unlimited calls... what for exactly when the phone cant even do its basic function? if i take the phone back for repairs and to be manually checked over as o2 have suggested, then i know i will only receive another s3 as a replacement... and seeing as this problem is a common one with s3 i will only encounter the problem again. What do i do from here? really annoyed. thanks for any suggestions.

Tuesday 28th of October 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
I got my Samsung galaxy s4 last Christmas. Its up to date with updates, and i'm having a problem. Since yesterday, I cant hear the other person and they cant hear me, not even on speakerphone or with headphones. I REALLY dont want to factory reset. I need to try everything else first. I have taken the battery out and restarted it several times.

Call quality - other person cannot hear me

Thursday 12th of March 2015 / forums.androidcentral.com
My T-mobile LG G3 has been working like a champ for many months. Now, call quality for person to whom I am speaking is very poor. It sounds like there is very faint speaking that drops in and out. This happens both on bluetooth and off, but is worse on bluetooth. There is no physical block to built-in or headset microphone. I know this because can record voice memo and do 'OK Google' dictation with ease. VOIP calls (Google hangout) are ok given my WiFi bandwidth. T-mobile tier2 support tried to sell me on notion that lollipop might fix me (based on www_androidauthority_dot_com/lg-g3-problems-517832 ) but I'm skeptical and jumped at the offer of a handset replacement. Any other ideas out there?
