Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 freezes every hour or so. - Page 2

Tuesday 29th of January 2013 /
Im having the same problems. My phone is 5 months old, and was fine before the 4.1.2 update. Since I updated about 2 weeks ago, it has gradually gone from just being slow and laggy, to freezing at least twice a day. I contacted Samsung, and they told me to do a full factory reset, which I did, but after 1 day the freezing started again. They've now told me I need to take it to a service centre, although I don't know what they'll be able to do if its a software bug, but I guess ive got no choice, as im not prepared to put up with it until they release an update to fix it!!

Stock ICS 4.0.4 and JB 4.1.1 laggy/slow

Tuesday 24th of July 2012 /
Hello,I recently purchased a used nexus s 2 weeks ago. It was running Gingerbread 2.3.6 and the phone felt super responsive, when I touched an app or a a button there was hardly a delay at all, apps and pages loaded instantly. A week ago, I got a system update for 4.0.4 . It looked nicer and all, but my battery life turned to shit and everything was slower and there were lots of delays when swiping screens and such. Yesterday I got another system update for Jelly Bean 4.1.1, and after watching reviews on the web about it improving the lag in ICS, I noticed the complete opposite. Everything is even slower now. Battery life completely sucks now, I went from full charge to 50% with 6 hours of standby and 30mins of light usage. Is anyone else experiencing the same issues, or have any advice? Should I just try a reset? Thanks

Sony Xperia Tablet S to get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean bump by early May

Monday 25th of March 2013 /
You know how Mondays are usually pretty slow news days in this little technology world of ours? Well, not today. And we mostly have Sony to thank for that. The Xperia ZL phone has just gone up for pre-order in the US, the Xperia Tablet Z has been priced in 13 European countries and now we have something to report about the Xperia Tablet S as well. You remember the Tab S, right? The 9.4-incher that preceded the Z in the fall of 2012.As good as it looked on paper six months ago, the Xperia Tablet S proved to be a pretty massive flop. Not only were sales halted soon after the release due to water damage (technically, the slate was splash proof), but there were also numerous software glitches that crippled the user experience.Even now there are many users that complain about random reboots and unstable network connections, but fear not, as Sony will finally come to your rescue in a month or so. The Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update will be rolled out either in late April or early May and with it there should be plenty of bug fixes to go around.Given the tab is still running Android 4.0.3 Ic

Nexus 5 and rest of Google device family get Android 4.4.2

Tuesday 10th of December 2013 /
If your Nexus device hasn’t gotten the update to Android 4.4.1 yet, don’t panic. Apparently that build wasn’t fully baked either, and now Google is pushing Android 4.4.2 instead. The launch of the Nexus 5 revealed an exciting phone with some obvious software issues. The camera, audio, and a few other strange glitches left. Google recognized these issues as as largely fixable, and promised a software fix shortly after. Five weeks later Android 4.4.1 was announced and released to the public through a slow rollout. The update promised camera fixes, speaker fixes, and a host of corrections for the rest of Android 4.4. Apparently Google left out a few things, because Android 4.4.2 is now rolling out with significantly less fanfare or excitement. The next incremental update to KitKat is described as containing software fixes, security updates, and a fix for an SMS based Denial of Service vulnerability that apparently only affected the Nexus line. These are not visual updates that users will notice, unless you own a Nexus 5. If you do happen to be using Google’s latest

Frustrated User

Saturday 14th of December 2013 /
Hi to you all I'm coming from an annoying Samsung Galaxy Pocket and I love Samsung phones. I really did not enjoy that phone as it was super slow, I think it had a factory fault. I now have a Sony Xperia M and I'm enjoying it very much. It's fast enough with a rare lag. I can't understand why Sony is not updating this phone. It was said Android Kit Kat will be able to work on any phone with a 512MB RAM, so I really would like them to update this phone. Their updates lately have been very fast, I hope they will update this phone as well. There's this 15.1.C.2.8 update. I won't be downloading it after I saw the problems that it caused on other owners. They have to fix this. I really love Android and I want to enjoy my my phone. If thre is a way they can get this message, it must be sent as I want to have the latest version of Android in my phone. I can't understand the idea of lauching a phone with Android 4.2 now when we are in Android 4.4. Mine is worse in Androd 4.1.2. That must be fixed.

HTC One: Auto Reboot & Continuous SYNC after sense 6.0 update

Friday 20th of June 2014 /
Phone: HTC OneCarrier: AT&T Never rooted/unlocked. After update to sense 6.0, 1. Phone auto reboots every 6 hrs once (while on battery or on charger).2. Battery drains in 4 to 5 hrs and phone becomes very hot.3. SYNC is continuously ON most of the day, around 1.5gb of mobile data is consumed per day (Google Play Store, & removed apps use max data).4. When the SYNC is ON, device will be very slow ( about 30 seconds to 1 minute later the notification disappears after reading the mail/message/missed call). 5. Apps requiring update from play store, keeps getting re-installed several times when the SYNC is ON.6. When the SYNC is ON, text messages will not get delivered, they just keep waiting for 2 to 3 minutes.7. When the SYNC is ON, the Alarm doesn't work.8. Some times power button will not respond or too slow to wakeup the screen, sometimes device reboots if I press the power button multiple times. Factory reset for 3 times. If I leave at default apps, device is OK. But once I reinstall all my apps from play store and setup (individu

Why is my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Stuck on First Boot Logo?? Hard Bricked??

Monday 12th of January 2015 /
I bought a Note II from someone (AT&T SGH-I317) that was apparently stuck in boot loop. I turned the phone on and besides the start up being a bit laggy it seemed fine running Android 4.1.2. There were a few issues like the S-Note application would crash and it was running slow so I decided to bring it back to its original firmware using Odin3 v3.07. That worked fine and I was running Android 4.1.1 on it. Later I decided to try using the AT&T factory update feature so I could get it running the latest firmware. After the update completed the phone restarted and has since been stuck on the first Samsung Galaxy Note II loading screen. I can not access the recovery menu at all, but I can access the download menu. Ive tried a thousand times to access the recovery. Ive tried many different kinds of custom recoveries, Ive tried to install the stock firmware again but nothing works. I dont know what to do. Please help! Thank youFrom what Ive heard, this phone had been "fixed" before because of a boot loop issue.
