How to Improve Android Tablets Battery Life and Speed
Saturday 31st of March 2012
In an era where technology is evolving at a fast paced rate we should have already seen a battery that has an improved life span and that could last for more than one day if we use our devices more often. I’m tired of charging my phone/tablet on a daily basis even if I don’t use it much. I’m going to focus on Android 2.3- Tablets as their battery life is miserable even if you use them or not, compared to the iPad which can stay in idle mode for more than a week and this is achieved through software alone. The battery life on Android 2.3 and earlier Tablets tends to get on the low side because of a bunch of services that are built into the Android OS which run in the background despite the fact that they are not needed. Let me show you how to improve the battery life and the speed of your Android 2.3- Tablet:In order for this to work, you need to root your Tablet and be wary of the word “Tablet” because this method won’t work the same on a Phone or it won’t work at all because the services we mentioned earlier are phone related and could be of great importance and you mig

Google Maps - Tap to Improve Accuracy?
Wednesday 27th of July 2011
Hi all,I've been using Google Maps and Navigation perfectly fine on my phone just over the mobile network, up until about a week ago. Now, Google Maps refuses to find my location to anything more accurate than about 1-2km, whilst Navigation constantly searches for the GPS. It informs to to tap my location to improve accuracy, but doing so only advises me to turn on wifi. A bit useless if I want to go out on the road and use my phone as a sat nav. :PIs there some way to solve this? Using the GPS Test app, my phone can see satellites but refuses to lock, despite the fact up until about a week ago it could get a lock in about 10-15 seconds. I can't take the phone back as I have unlocked it, debranded it and rooted it (hence pretty much obliterating my warranty xD). Any advice?Network: 3 UKOS: Android 2.1

Samsung Galaxy Centura - How to save everything on SD card
Monday 20th of October 2014
NEVER PURCHASE THIS PHONE! It's pretty sad when you go to the Android site and cannot even "find" your device to even look at forums pertaining to your specific phone. I cannot wait to buy a new phone and then take this one in the street and literally take a hammer to it. I've came close SO many times. Anyway, I just bought an 8 GB SD card because my phone said low on space even though about 2 months ago I deleted 400+ pictures and about 20 apps...leaving myself with 3 measly apps. If it was so low on space, then how did the phone originally hold all of that? Hmmm...I can't even update ANYTHING. How do I save everything onto my new external SD card? When I go to "Settings" > "Storage", it says that my USB storage is pretty much full and that I have 7.21 GB available of space on my SD card. Yet, there is NO OPTION to move anything to the SD card. HELP! My father passed away a few weeks ago and this phone acts CRAZY so I am trying to get all of my pictures of him saved on this SD card before I lose everything!
