How to factory reset after a "Too many pattern attempts!" - i-Nix NTB-701
Tuesday 29th of January 2013
Hi. I was given an i-Nix NTB-710 AllWinner A13 (Android Jelly Bean) tablet by my brother-in-law. Recently my kid tried to decipher the pattern lock but unfortunately it came to the point where Android is now asking me for the google username and password. I googled for some guidance on this and I read that this is a bug with Android. Followed all suggestions on how to fix, which finally left me with the suggestion of doing a factory reset. The thing is doing all key combinations to go to recovery mode does not seem to work on my device. No recovery menu appears after the Android logo with triangle. There is a reset button on the side of the device (where I use a small pin to push the button) but all it does is boot normally back to the screen asking me for the google username and password.Anyone out there who has encountered this before? Or is there any other way to factory reset?
Who's done a factory reset for 4.2 from old Ice cream sandwich?
Tuesday 02nd of April 2013
After reading the Android Central article about doing a factory reset I just wondered who has actually done this and if they seen any major speed improvements? My phone seems to lag quite a bit for the keyboard to pop up it seems like vs when I first got it. I am thinking of doing this if it really shows major speed improvements. I got the phone on launch day and have went through each new update since 4.2 .1 and hope for 4.2.2 also to come out soon. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Android Central Forums

Safe mode/factory reset for 8" WonderMedia 8650
Saturday 04th of February 2012
How do I get into safe mode/factory reset when I don't have the screen unlock code? Somehow I need to do it during startup by hitting some buttons in the right combination. The 8" version only have a power button, 2 volume buttons and the menu back button. Any one having an idea how to do it? I have looked at this thread Forgot your unlock pattern? but am not able to get adb working for the time being.
Factory reset for MID 7-inch tablet
Saturday 22nd of September 2012
I just received a tablet as a promotional reward for sitting through a sales presentation. I was setting it up and installed the power widget on my home screen, but when I hit the display settings button on the widget, the screen went blank. I thought it had crashed, so I rebooted. It boots fine, but as soon as the boot animation finishes, the screen goes blank again. I'm guessing that the power widget turned the screen brightness to "off" and it's now stuck that way. (It does seem to be working normally, except for the display -- if I manage to blindly unlock it after rebooting, the volume buttons beep as expected, and inserting a thumb drive into the USB dongle does a media scan, judging from the blinking LED on the thumb drive.) I'd like to do a factory reset, but none of the button combinations with the power button seems to put the device into recovery mode. I'd be very grateful for any suggestions about how to remedy this situation. Here's what I know about the tablet. It's a 7-incher with a resistive touch screen, came in a MID box, and it appears to most closely rese
Factory Reset for Coby Kyros MID 8120
Saturday 14th of July 2012
Hello Fellows, Apparently I installed some app which is conflicting with the software. Sometimes the tablet starts, and when it does, a few seconds later the massage appears "Sorry! android.process.acore unexpectedly stopped. Force close". And it reboots, and the same thing happens over and over. Sometimes it only stays on the Android logo loading, and it reboots over and over.I want to do a factory reset to erase the conflicting app I must have installed, and to format the system and start clean. How do I do that? I've looked at some posts showing combinations of buttons but that hasn't worked for me. When I try that the screen goes black and nothing happens. ADB isn't working wither because the PC won't recognize the tablet.Any solution?

Factory Reset For A Hipstreet Flare 2 Android 4.1 Jellybean Tablet
Thursday 13th of March 2014
I am trying to find the steps to do a Factory Reset for a Hipstreet Flare 2 Android 4.1 Jellybean Tablet. The steps that I have are Power button and Volume + together and an icon for recovery mode should come on the screen but instead I get A9 showing. There are obviously some other steps to getthis process to work as Android OS isn't loading propery when the Tablet is Powered on. Does anyone know how to do this for the specific Tablet mentioned. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.
