Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 "Infinite Reboot"
Thursday 21st of March 2013
have been trying to fix this tablet for two days now. Okay, lets start from the top, I received my tablet and I was setting it up when it asked for an update. So I updated it. As soon as it turned back on, it asked for another update. I update it. It's starting up and then the screen goes black. Then it goes back to starting up and then the screen goes black. This goes on and on. Finally I realized something was wrong. I'm googling and then I find out about this infamous infinite reboot. I try all the different button presses. Nothing works. I try downloading all this crap on my computer to fix the problem, still no luck. After 4/5 HOURS of hassling with this thing, I said screw it and went to bed.(I never tried rooting it. Just a Samsung update) The next morning I brave the beast. It's completely dead. I'm thinking this could be good. So I plug it in and instead of the loading ring only in the battery charging bar it has the little warning sign about the battery and after awhile the battery bar starts moving. I'm excited. So here comes the moment of truth, I try to turn it on. Much
Samsung Galaxy 7" Tablet is dead, where to buy a new battery?
Tuesday 08th of May 2012
I had that tablet for three months only. It has Froyo 2.2 installed. Battery was draining very fast, sometimes I had to charge it twice a day. I used it in the evenings for reading books, checking emails, sometimes watched videos on youtube and listened to the music. Maximum it was 3-4 hours a day of active use but I kept it on, just switched it to airplane mode. I always kept it in protective case, never banged or scratched it.Five days ago I charged it and I was wathing some video and it died right in the middle, it just went black. I tried to charge it using micro USB cable from my computer, then using original power adapter, light was on but it was not charging. It was not turning on with or without the charger plugged into it.I used a paper clip and did a reset. I had a situation like that before and it helped. It didn't work this time.I pressed and hold the power button while at the same time touching the screen. It didn't work. I connected the power cable and repeat the above steps. It didn't work.Since nothing works I wonder if there is anything else I can do to revive it? Wh
Tablet battery - complete and sudden drain
Monday 01st of August 2011
Hello all. I've been the happy owner of a Tab for nearly 2 weeks. That is, until Sunday morning, when I woke up to find IT wouldn't wake up! I had last used it on Sat afternoon and noticed the battery was around 70%, so no worries, right? Here is another user with a similar issue, and I have replied in that thread:Power dead after first nightIt worked when I got the charger on it (battery was down to nothing, but had 70% on it about 18 hours before that, and no usage in between) but this is sorta worrisome. As in, should I return it? I cannot exchange it, it's a long story but basically the store I bought it from (Staples, on the recent deal) doesn't have any more in stock. Other Staples I have checked, same story.I did call Samsung and they said to do a full reset (erase data and apps) but I don't want to do that right now. Anyway, I don't know the value of doing it as it isn't draining the battery now, it is working ok. Alternative was to send it to them and they can check it out for me... again, what are they going to check out if it doesn't exhibit the issue when it is in their ha
Tablet will not load past pulsing SAMSUNG logo.
Sunday 02nd of December 2012
A couple of days ago, my Samsung Galaxy tab 2 10.1 notified me it had an update waiting to be downloaded. I hit the button to allow the update to proceed, and it took me to an update screen with an image of the android logo with some sort of cube spinning around in his stomach. After about 3 minutes of watching the download bar creep toward it's end mark, I decided to simply set it on the table and let it finish while I did something else.I'm guessing that was not a good idea. When I came back to use the tablet a few hours later (Assuming the update would be finished by then) I found the battery was dead. Since that moment the tablet will load the "SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" splash screen, but after the animation that brings it to the pulsing Samsung logo, it simply stays at that logo until the battery again dies. Once I get it to this logo I can do nothing but restart it ( I cannot get it to power off any other way than letting the battery run dry).I have tried doing the reboot method which seemed to fix this for most people, but it does nothing for me but bring me back to

My battery died
Monday 27th of January 2014
I have a Samsung galaxy tab 2, and recently its been having some battery problems. every time I plug the charger in, it gets a red x on the screen. when it gets to 100%, the battery goes dead in less than 1 minute. why, after 2 years of working fine, all this starts in less than 2 weeks? I think I might need to replace the battery, but I have no clue how. I also heard about this guy with the same problem, but he said something about a "motherboard". what is that? or is it just time for a new tablet? I got my tablet at hhgreg, and the guy there wasn't very helpful.

Not used tab for 2 months, battery dead! Charge up, turn off, battery dead? please help
Monday 21st of April 2014
Hi,I have only had my Samsung Galaxy tab 3 a few months and I used it very little in the beginning though it functioned fine and as expected. Last used the tablet end of Feb this year and it was fully charged and I powered the device off. Tried to turn the phone on this Easter going away on a train and it was completely dead. Put the charger in and the battery was totally empty. Charged the device up but battery was ticking down before my eyes. I have no apps running etc for rapid battery drop. I powered the unit down at 84% and then the next day tried to turn the device on; it was completely dead. Seems when the device is powered off and turned back on it is totally dead. It is under warrantee but wonder if anyone can advise me if I can remedy this somehow, without having to take it back to the shop? Thank you.Lee
