Screen smashed. USB Debugging off.

Tuesday 13th of August 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Good day all. I have in my possession a T989 with a cracked screen and unfortunately USB debugging was not switched on prior to this. The screen doesn't respond to any touch, from what I can observe, and it is completely blank. I've already lamented enough over losing the phone, now I'm just hoping I can get my files from the sdcard. I know a little about ADB and I had hoped I would have been able to pull these files but that hasn't worked (no USB debugging and all). I've been trying to find ways to enable USB debugging via cmd but that doesn't seem to work either. So right now I'm stuck. I'm looking for a way to access the sdcard OR to emulate/stream the phone's screen to my PC and then control it to hopefully enable USB debugging. It was running a CyanogenMod ROM before it died. Can anyone assist? I would really appreciate any help.

Galaxy S3 L710 Broken Screen and USB Debugging Not enabled

Wednesday 04th of September 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I have a completely stock Galaxy S3 L710 and the LCD/ Digitizer is broken and Black. All other functions work on the phone. I need to back everything up before replacing the LCD but USB Debugging is not enabled and ADB commands will not work since any commands require debugging enabled. 1) Is there a way to do a full system, app and file backup using adb commands?2) Is it possible to enable USB Debugging via methods using adb commands? Thanks in advance,Bob

Broken Screen, No USB Debugging, Screen Locked -- Pull Files?

Thursday 23rd of January 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
So, i've got a customer with a Verizon Galaxy S4 with a completely shattered screen, USB debugging is disabled and the screen has a passcode lock, but the digitizer is broken. I can't seem to use adb to pull the files off the internal storage(SD is already backed up), i'm guessing because USB debugging is off. I was going to flash a recovery, but it seems I can't use the ODIN method to do it on the Verizon version of the S4, it instead needs the other method that requires having either adb or a working screen. Is there anything I CAN do? OS is Windows 7 64-Bit. I also didn't do the samsung sync thing on the phone, so I cannot do the Find My Mobile unlock method that was mentioned in another thread on here.

HTC one - no android, usb debugging off, help pls. :(

Thursday 21st of August 2014 / androidforums.com
My problem:I have HTC One. Everything was wiped out. No Android. When it boots, it goes directly to TWRP. I want to SU and flash ROM, so I need ADB. I downloaded ADB and Flashboot on my Macbook Pro. From the forum, it says I dont need the drivers coz I'm on a Mac (OS X 10.6.8).I previously tried to make the phone talk (or vice versa) on a windows XP machine. Downloaded and installed Android SDK, Java, HTC drivers, and all that, but I was never able to make ADB detect the device (adb devices command wouldn't list the device). So now on a Mac, it still does not list the device. I suspect that it has to do with USB debugging. But how can I turn on USB debugging when there is no Android in the phone? How can I use ADB when USB debugging is off? Please help. I really appreciate this forum. Thank you.

Accessing Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G w/ broken screen/digitizer (USB debugging disabled)?

Saturday 01st of November 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello everyone, I'm curious as to what methods I have to use this phone in any capacity (ideally I'd like to install an app that lets me control it via my PC). I read that I could possibly enable USB Debugging using ADB in the phone's recovery mode, but I can't find any tutorial/guide on how exactly that process would work... I had ordered an Micro USB OTG adapter to use with a mouse, only to find out that the Epic Touch is the only SG 2 model to not support it (joy!). Any suggestions? Should I give up...? Could I possibly flash it and manage to do something with it?
