Disappointed with lack of outlook notes and tasks support as a recent webos convert
Saturday 17th of December 2011
Well, i've had my Nexus S2 for 2 days now and must saythat ass a new convert to android that i'm very disappointed:First, there really is no way to gracefully sync with my outlook tasks and notes. That's a show stopper for me and others that I work with.Next, lack of ability to integrate emails with gmail into one common email client.Next, poor support for MS Exchange email and calendar integration again into one place. These are all very serious limitations as compared to my old webos (obsolete). I'm going back to my pre 3 as it meets all these needs unless someone can tell me that i'm wrong.Yeah there are a lot of cool apps but of what use are they if I can't do any of my activities of daily living...
Samsung acknowledges lack of documentation for Exynos SoC
Wednesday 10th of October 2012
Given Samsung’s penchant for giving away the source codes of its Android devices and making them publicly available to download, we can easily categorize Samsung as one of the more hacker-friendly Android manufacturers. But is it really the case? Some developers beg to differ — at least when it comes to devices that sport Samsung’s Exynos processor, such as the international version of Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2, which our sister publication has laid out in a recent post. In short, crafting a fully functioning custom ROM on Exynos-powered devices is a much harder endeavor due to the lack of documentation for the SoC for which “not a single line of code is available or has been leaked.”The good news is Samsung has not turned a deaf ear to the complaints and has responded to the issue. As reported by XDA-developers, here’s a recent tweet posted on Samsung Exynos account:We hear your concerns about documentation & source code for Exynos-based devices. We're discussing it with our team and will update you soon— SamsungExynos (@SamsungExynos) October 9, 20
A couple of cases for the 7127
Monday 20th of February 2012
I have purchased a couple of cases I am pretty happy with:HDE 7" Tablet Stand with USB Keyboard - Black Faux Leather Carrying Case - This one is nice if you want a built in keyboard, the action the on the keyboard is very good but of course because there is a keyboard it makes the whole thing a little larger to carry around. For me this works when I know I need to do a lot of typing.Navitech Genuine Black Napa Leather Flip Open 7 Inch Book Style Carry Case / Cover for the Coby Kyros MID 7010, 7010C, 7013, 7018, 7001, 7012, 7016, 7022, 7120, 7125, 7127, 7024, 7026, 7027, 7037 - I got this one a week or so ago because I wanted something slimmer for everyday use. I was impressed with the fit and feel for the price. This has elastic corner straps to hold in place and one does go over the power button but does not interfere with it's function. I got both of these at Amazon.Todd

Lack of cases
Thursday 24th of April 2014
I am just really appalled with the lack of case support with this phone. It's not a bad phone. It really isn't. All I see everyday on this website is new cases for the M8 and S5. Blah blah blah... Who cares! They had stuff for those phones before they came out! What's the deal!? I'm starting to doubt sony phones... Posted via Android Central App
earphones not included for Verizon version of Galaxy S5?
Monday 28th of April 2014
my co-worker bought the Galaxy S5 from a Verizon corporate store yesterday afternoon... she was showing me the phone and I asked her where the earphones were. she said none were included inside the box. then I saw the AndroidCentral article that was posted just this morning, which described the earphones as being good quality. should she go back to the Verizon corporate store and demand the earphones? or were they simply not included in the Verizon version? thansk!
Lack of Cases
Saturday 21st of June 2014
Having owned my ultra for around a month now I've noticed there really is a lack of variety of decent cases for it. I'd like a solid wallet type case but try as I might can't seem to find one online other than cheap eBay stuff. Can anyone point me in the direction of a website with a good range of wallet cases please? Thanks.
