Straight Talk multimedia messages
Sunday 08th of December 2013
Is there any way to speak with someone from straight talk who can make my MMS work? I can't receive them, I've tried every setting I get from the internet, I've spent hours on the phone with straight talk representatives. Each time they tell me "Well sir, when you bought the sim card, you could see that we don't guarantee service." Not guaranteeing service is not the same as NOT PROVIDING SERVICE. I'm at wits end with these people. Anyone else have any advice they can offer to help me resolve this problem, or am I just being stupid to even stay on with Straight Talk.
HTC One M8 (mms sending and receiving problems)
Saturday 12th of July 2014
Hey everyone,I'm new to this forum but was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem. I recently bought an htc one m8 off of ebay and signed up for Straight Talk as my provider. I ported my number and everything seemed to work fine. However, when I recieved a multimedia messaging service (mms) message I was not able to download and view it. Also, most of the friends that have iphones will send me mms messages when they are converted from iMessage. I have talked to customer support for both HTC and Straight Talk and went over my Access Point Name (APN) settings multiple times and updated everything I can think of. I was wondering if anyone had experienced similar issues or had a clue about what I could do to try to fix this problem. Thanks

My International Note 4 will not connect to the mobile data network.

I purchased a new Samsung Note 4, model number SM-N910H. I have installed a Straight Talk sim card, and have successfully attached the phone number and enabled inbound and outbound calls, aas well as basic text messages. But the phone will not connect to a mobile data network (it will connect to wi-fi). I live in a rural area that is predominantly served by AT&T and T-Mobile. I have called Straight Talk, and spoken with their technical support team, who gave me all the stats I supposedly need to connect to the Data network via APN settings. Those Settings are as follows: Name: Straight TalkAPN: wap.tracfoneProxy: 188.8.131.52Port: 8080MMSC http :// mms. tracfone. com (Spaces deliberate for site restrictions)Multimedia message proxy: 184.108.40.206Multimedia Message Port: 8080MCC: 310MNC: 260APN Type: wap.tracfoneAPN Protocol: IPv4APN Roaming Protocol: IPv4 An irregularity that I've noticed is that the phone is claiming to connect to a carrier called Chinook, which does not exist in my area. I have tried searching for other operators in the settings, and sometimes it detects A
