Can't sync Facebook contacts with existing contacts on Galaxy S3

Monday 22nd of October 2012 / androidforums.com
When i login to the Facebook app and select the option to sync information with existing contacts it adds my facebook contacts into my contacts but doesn't work with my existing contacts whose numbers are saved on the sim. For some of them i cant write out their full name like it is on facebook because contacts is stupid and doesnt give you enough letters but with others the name is the same and i want it to sync their profile picture to their existing contact. It seems to be with anyone that doesn't have their phone number written on their facebook. With others it adds a separate contact with their facebook details alongside the existing contact with their number that is saved on the sim. when i try and link the two together it only shows other facebook contacts so they cant be linked

Sync Galaxy Tab contacts with Yahoo contacts?

Tuesday 19th of April 2011 / forums.androidcentral.com
I recently purchased the WiFi-only Galaxy Tab. Although I researched it before buying, I didn't realize I wouldn't be able to sync my Yahoo mail contacts with the Tab, and so far I haven't found a way to do this. I also have an iPhone, and what I'm trying to do is have a single contact store that I can access from the web (or desktop app), iPhone, and Tab. The iPhone will happily sync contacts (via iTunes) with Yahoo, Google, and others, but the Tab seems partial to Google (no surprise there). For a number of reasons, I can't switch from Yahoo to Google mail, so that's not an option for me. I know I can export contacts from one and import to the other, but that's not good enough. I've searched this forum and a number of others, and apparently there's a Yahoo Mail app that does allow you to sync Yahoo contacts with Android devices. Unfortunately, that app does not support the Tab, at least not the WiFi only version that I have. There's a different Yahoo app (not Yahoo Mail) that does run on my Tab, but it doesn't let you sync contacts. It does give you a Tab-friendly UI for accessing

Sync Galaxy Tab to Outlook with Kies

Sunday 12th of December 2010 / androidforums.com
I have Galaxy Tab and am having all sorts of issues trying to sync Calendar data with Outlook 2007 using Kies. I have followed the prompts and originally it completely deleted my Outlook Calendar files. Then, it doesn't seem to delete appointments flagged in Outlook as "all day events" and doesn't update Outlook if those events are deleted in the Tab. Does anyone have any suggestions or can point me in the proper direction?? I also get some messages on Kies about more than 50% of my events have been deleted in Outlook when to my knowledge they have not. It then asks if I want to reset the sync history....What am I doing wrong here?? I'm new to this Android and Tablet game so answers in non-techie speak would be helpful!!! thank you

Thursday 11th of September 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
I am looking for a solution for tethering a new Samsung Galaxy Tab S with a Droid Maxx 1080 (not Razor). I realize that Verizon cut the Wi-Fi option off. I am able to Bluetooth tether to my PC but not to my Samsung Galaxy Tab S using PDANET Tablet. If anyone has a workaround for this I will actually mail you a $50 money order for pulling it off. Why? Because I need it to work.
