System UIDs Inconsistent warning

Friday 02nd of March 2012 / androidforums.com
I have a rooted Dinc that I am turning over to my wife. I did a factory reset while rooted, now when I reboot the phone I get a "UID's on the system are inconsistent. you need to wipe your data partition or your device will be unstable" there's a button that says "I'm feeling Lucky" which I press. I haven't activated the phone to her number yet, was wondering if I can/should clear this error somehow? I've done a few more resets but dont know how to "wipe the data partition"Thanks

SYSTEM UIDS Inconsistent Error- HELP!

Wednesday 06th of July 2011 / forums.androidcentral.com
Had phone since launch and the past couple of weeks it has given me grief. I am stock, everything, not rooted, don't do anything or know anything about ROMS and Kernels. (just a little old lady from the midwest) Twice in the past week, when I turn it on in the morning, it makes the splash screen sounds, even though I have it on vibrate. When this happens, it goes into an endless rebooting and continues until I pull the battery. Last week, I just had to pull it once and all worked fine and nothing was lost after I put the battery back. Today, it took 2 pulls of the battery. I lost a bunch of sign ins, and a few widgets here and there. All my photos are there. Had to re-set up with gmail. I also received a message to that said:SYSTEM UIDS Inconsistent. UIDS on the system are inconsistent, you need to wipe your data partion or youre device will be unstable and it had a button that said, I'm feeling lucky. No other option. Well, clicking on lucky, didn't make me lucky that's for sure! So been goggling, but haven't come up with anything for the EVO. I have gone in and uninstalled all of

System UIDs Inconsistent

Saturday 31st of August 2013 / androidtablets.net
I recently tried to connect my tablet to my PC via USB, and when it started up, and got to the lock screen, it started glitching like mad, with the New mail sound going off erratically. I immediately unplugged the tablet and tried to restart it, and found that my lock pattern was gone, and got the System UIDs warning upon unlock. Now Launcher Pro constantly crashes, and I cannot get to the system settings to do a factory reset. I have heard of a technique called the three finger reset. Can this procedure be performed on my tablet, and if not, is there any way at all to save it?EDIT: My tablet is a CRAIG CMP738A 7" Wireless Touch Screen Tablet

System UIDs Inconsistent? Feeling Lucky?

Friday 15th of August 2014 / androidforums.com
I just used link2sd to move a bunch of non essential apps to my 2GB ext4 partition at the end of my 32gb sd card. Then I rebooted the phone and it said "System UIDs Inconsistent". I clicked the only option, Do You Feel Lucky?, then the phone finished boot. Google+ crashed after loading, and the Go Launcher's app launcher is missing Google+ and it's home screen shortcut is missing as well. In Link2SD, it shows it's a system app, so I converted it to a user app and it says "pkg: /data/loca/tmp/com.google.android,apps,plus.apk failure [INSTALL_FAILED_UID_CHANGED]". What in the heck is going on? On a separate occasion, I removed Google+ from the /system/app directory, then downloaded the latest version, moved it with link2sd, and all was well after a reboot.

A fix for System UIDs inconsistent error

Sunday 28th of June 2015 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi ALL!well I've gotten this annoying message on my Verizon LG Optimus Zone 2 (LG-VS415PP): "System UIDs Inconsistent UIDs on the system are inconsistent, you need to wipe your data partition or your device will be unstable" followed with an option to click a button saying "I'm feeling lucky". well merd, searched all over the internet...tried fixing permissions an all, even just doin what it says, doing a factory reset, all to no avail, well after many reboots an many days later, finally the message just stopped; Well I tried to get some more ROM space back ,so I put 'contacts', 'hangouts' in user space and got rid of 'help' and 'live wallpapers', BANG! there's that same old error, IT CAME BACK!, so here's how I fixed it: I have Titanium Backup and Link2sd on mine so I clear all app/sys caches, then, cleanup dalvik-cache, and 2nd partition.- then rebooted,YEA!!!! IT WORKED!!! so...someone might wanna try doing that in the future...sure was easier than a factory reset...I just had reinstalled and backed up everything and looking all over the internet yielded no h
