*** Transfer Files from PC to Android via WiFi ***
Wednesday 11th of January 2012
Need some files copied from a Win or Linux machine and you don't have a USB cable or a flash card reader. If the PC has WiFi you're in luck.1) Install Wireless Tether for Root Users from the Android market.2) Run Wireless Tether and connect the PC to the android device.3) On the PC download & run HFS (Http File Server), it is only 600kB (works in WINE in Linux)4) From the HFS drop down menu add files or a folder with files to be downloaded.5) On the Android device use a browser to navigate to the PC's IP address (displayed in the address bar of HFS).6) Download the files...Wireless Tether.HFS ~ HTTP File Server*** Using WiFi File Explorer by itself is a simple alternative but it will not upload to the Android device with the free version.
Help: I cannot transfer mp3 files from pc to my Xperia S
Friday 10th of August 2012
Hi Android experts, as my title mentions...initially i was able to transfer mp3 files to my Xperia S music folder. But just last night, i suddenly cannot, by 2 methods...1) File transfer via Sony PC Companion - in which, basically opens up the Xperia S folder via Windows Explorer. This gives file cannot be copied error notification.2) Copy/Paste and Drag/Drop using Media Go - buttom window of the Media Go application will show in blinking red backdrop that transfer cannot be completed error. I've mentioned that i was able to transfer some mp3 & flac files to my music folder by method 1.But now it doesn't work. Any comments & suggestions are very much appreciated. BR & God bless

How do i transfer files from GS4 to PC?
Thursday 25th of July 2013
I have had my galaxy s4 for about a month now. Is there a way for me to transfer music and videos from my phone to my pc without having to take my otterbox defender case off every time, just so i can access the mini SD card, and manually plug it into the PC to transfer files?I had an LG esteem android phone and it was very user friendly, i pluged in the phone via usb to my pc and just dragged and dropped files at will. S4 does not let me do that.Yes i downloaded the newest samsung drivers, yes i updated that useless kies software that never recognizes the s4. Why is this such a hasle? the s4 is the first android that is not letting me simply transfer my files. Very annoying.
Need help, transfering files from pc to tablet. Not all files are showned both ways.
Monday 16th of December 2013
I just perchused a tablet that has android jelly bean on it. Figuring sense I know a lot about pcs I figured it would be just as easy with the tablet. Oops I was off. Figuring that I could just use the micro usb to transfer files I found its more difficult than I thought. I looked around tried multiple file managers yet I have no success. The main issue seems to be that the files shown on both items are different. For example all i can see on the pc end is.android secure.lost.dirAndroidDCIMExternal_sdcardpictures on the tablet I see none of these. not even pictures. When I try to search the file that I can see on the tablet on the pc end it always shows that they don't exist. Why. Can some one teach me how this works. How can I transfer my files. How do I get the pc and the tablet to properly communicate so I can see all the files on the pc.
Need to move 300+ media files from PC to Playlists on my Android.
Monday 01st of September 2014
Hi. I have over 300 music tracks I would like to upload to 5 different playists on my Android mobile.Basically I want to transfer playlists from my PC to a targeted Android playlist. The only option I can do now is:1. Upload 300+ media files from my PC to the Android's “Recently Added” work area.2. Once there, I would have to manually copy 1 by 1 each media track from “recently added” to my predefined Android playlist. I looked in the software Moborobo. Great interface, but will only upload media files to your Recently Added work area. There is no transfer of PC playlist to Android Playlist using Moborobo. When I had a LG Android phone, I used LG PC Suite software interface. Using this, you could interface your PC playlist with the Android and upload each playlist seamlessly to it's specified target. However LG PC Suite only works with LG models. Is there any freeware software available that works similar to LG PC Suite?Or is there a "out of the box" manual procedure I can streamline the upload & transfer to my targeted playlists w/o going through the single cop
