hello, im a fairly new Android user. ive had my phone for about 2 months. I'm running 4.1.1 jellybean... im on at&t. im a former iphone user & I never had any of these issues with that phone. 1. I cannot download any apps, or anything for that matter. When I open the play store, it immediately crashes. when I try to save a picture, my browser crashes. I tried the whole clear the cache thing & the running applications, to no avail. I keep getting this error message that says "unfortunately the process com. google. process. gapps. has stopped." 2. I am unable to receive mms. I can send them fine, but when I receive them, it'll always say 'from hidden sender' I cant view the picture, & it'll keep sending over & over again. more recently, I'll keep getting the alert for a hidden mms msg in my notifications but not in my messaging app. When I clear it, it just keeps coming back. 3. my phone gets extremely hot & im not sure why. it'll be so hot, I'll sit it in the Window to cool down. 4. my phone just randomly restarts itself. 5. don't even get me started

So far I've received several MMS picture messages, but I am never able to download them. They always fail and give a General Network Error. Today there was a popup saying com.android.mms blah blah blah had crashed and needed force closed. Anyone else experiencing this? Regular SMS works fine.

anyone else having this problem? within a thread of certain friends texting back and forth ... they send me a photo and i cant download it. I get an error message that says "currently unable to download try again later...." this happens all the time. this particular photo size is 32KB. Im using home WiFI network and i have the MMS auto retrieve feature unticked to "OFF" anything else? I use AT&T as my cell provider, this is a S3 Mini.... THEY have no clue either.... once in the past, this happened, and all I had to do was DELETE any old photos that were within that text thread. Doing that enabled me to open any new photos my friend would send.... but now its not working....
Unable to send/receive mms
Thursday 30th of October 2014
ZTE Mustang - rooted - I am unable to send or receive pics messaging. When i send i get error message "unable to send." At first it was also giving me "try recording in mms mode" which, i found, from all my searching thru my phone, is not a mode or option. But i no longer get that message. when someone sends me a pic message an error message used to say "unable to download. no subject in subject line." but now it just says "unable to download. retrying. .." and it will retry unsuccessfully until i delete the message. any ideas about what to do about this?
unable to download MMS messages
Sunday 01st of March 2015
I'm unable to download pictures I received through the native text messaging app. I did have a 3rd party app but I uninstalled it, hoping it would fix it. I have restarted the phone and when it turns on and I unlock the screen I get a message that "google.process." something along those lines has stopped, I have tried to disable and enable download manager, didn't help, also tried checking APN settings but its connected to t-mobile, which I assume is the default setting. Anyone have this issue and can offer a helping hand? Posted via the Android Central App
