Can I Tether Droid Razr Maxx to Ipad 3?
Sunday 28th of October 2012
Hi, I have seen multiple posts regarding this, but I am still confused. I have read that some people successfully tethered their Droid phone with an ipad, others having problems, but no real solution....I am trying to tether my Droid Razr Maxx to an Ipad 3 (new ipad). Turned on Bluetooth on both devices. Both devices are discoverable. The Droid lists the Ipad name as a device and the Ipad lists the Droid as seeing the device, but I keep getting the message from Ipad "Pair unsuccessful, make sure Droid is turned on and in range".My goal is to use the Droid 3g/4g on the Ipad when a wifi signal is not available. thank you for any help you can give me. Just need to know if this is possible. Do I need to use a Droid app to accomplish this. I also read about the phone that Verizon may charge for tethering? I do have an unlimited data plan on my phone...
Does it make sense to go from a S4 to Note 3?

I love the S4 but the note 3 is tempting. Who all will attempt to make the switch from S4 to Note 3 and why? Posted via Android Central App
Here's what's going on with the Galaxy Note 3's region-locking
Friday 27th of September 2013
'Unlocked' EU and American Note 3sonly region-locked if you first 'activate' them with an unapproved SIM— and even then, there's a way backOver the past day or so it's come to light that "unlocked" Samsung Galaxy Note 3s from Europe and Latin America seem to be locked to SIMs from their specific regions. Note 3 devices sold in these countries were packaged with an ominous sticker warning of incompatibility with SIMs from outside their approved regions. As we reported yesterday, that'd present a serious inconvenience (not to mention expense) for frequent travelers who use local SIM cards when overseas.Fortunately, though, fresh details have come to light today which point to the situation not being quite as serious as it first seemed. Let's take a look at what's going on with region-locking on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.Unlocked, except for when it's notSamsung's sticker doesn't tell the full story. If you pick up an unlocked, SIM-free Galaxy Note 3 in Europe or Latin America, you'll see the sticker resembling th

Got a Droid Maxx last week. Phones not bad, battery life is as advertised but I'm thinking very seriously about the Note 3. My schedule doesn't allow for me to make many trips to the store to check out devices for myself so I was hoping someone might could give me opinions and personal comparison of the two. Also how well do Samsung phones work with Macs? Thanks! Posted via Android Central App
Switching from razr maxx to DROID maxx or G2
Thursday 17th of October 2013
Hi. I'm thinking of switching from my old razr maxx to the DROID maxx or the g2. I chose those two because they have the largest batteries. The g2 though was reviewed with "best camera" compared to the DROID 's "bad camera". Though DROID has that nifty touchless control. I can just tell it to play something when I'm driving. Plus larger battery. Still undecided. Thanks for any input. Sent from my DROID RAZR using AC Forums mobile app
From razr maxx to g2
Thursday 17th of October 2013
Hi. I'm thinking of switching to the g2 but not sure how the battery will help keep up against my use. On the razr maxx I get around 12 to 16 hours. Will the g2 last me as long? Also, only reason I'm switching to the g2 is the better camera. Is it really the best Android phone camera as indicated on the review? Thanks for any input. What I missed going from Razr Maxx to Note 3
Tuesday 29th of October 2013
I only missed one thing and that was the ability to use Smartactions to lower the volume when the phone was being charged. I know tasker was a solution but I just couldn't figure it out. I discovered automateit in the google store and now I'm not missing my Razr Maxx at all. I did think the battery life was much lower than the Maxx at first but after using the Note for a week or so the battery has acclimated I guess for now it seems to be equal to what I had on the Maxx, so I have no disappoints with my Note 3 😊 Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
Switching from Razr Maxx to G2 and Need Feedback From Others Who Have Done The Same
Monday 18th of November 2013
OK, so I have had my Razr Maxx for almost two years and in a couple weeks I'll be eligible for an upgrade. Most of my co-workers have GS4's and aside from the poor battery life, they are happy with them and trying to push me in that direction. However, I like to research things more carefully and all signs point to the G2 as a far superior device. I've "played" with the G2, GS4 ad HTC One a little in the Verizon store and still like the G2 for its screen and from what I have read, the battery life as well.I work in a fairly old hospital that gets decent Verizon reception but there are a few black holes that my Maxx will hold a signal in while others do not so that is very important to me as the docs and other PA's I work with all text back and forth quite a bit. So reception and good battery are a must. For those of you that have switched from the Maxx to the G2, are you happy?I've been running rooted on the maxx with a plain vanilla CM 10.2 ROM and the maxx is fast. I've read a lot about the G2 and the LG addons that to some are either a "nice addition" and to ot
foxfi from razr maxx to show up on kindle fire hd?
Monday 10th of February 2014
I downloaded Foxfi to my Motorola Razr Maxx. It doesn't show up on the WiFi list on my Kindle Fire HD, which is rooted with Kinology. I can pair the Maxx and KFHD via Bluetooth so I know each machine sees the other. I also have PDANet+ loaded on the Maxx. What can I do so I can tether the KFHD TO the Maxx?
maybe going from droid maxx to note 3
Monday 10th of March 2014
i had the original razr maxx and loved it, then last year i traded it for the note 2. my main concern with smartphones have been battery life. the razr maxx got me through the day no problem and when i went to the note 2 i found that it did too most days. ( some extra long days i would plug it in just to make sure i had plenty.) i traded my note 2 for the new motorola droid maxx last fall, because i got caught up in the new and awesome features like touchless controls and active displays (which are really cool, i have nothing bad to say about the droid maxx). however, i do miss my note 2, and the spen that i used fairly regular in my work.... im thinking of going and getting the note 3, since the size isnt much different than the note2, so ill be used to that. my main concern is the battery life with the 1080 display and with kitkat installed. i really need to get at least as good of battery life that i got with the note 2. i keep reading how the battery is as good as the note 2, and i also keep reading that it doesnt last near as long. any ideas? anyone who has had either the note
