Whats the difference between a blue 4G icon and a gray one? - Page 3
Wednesday 25th of April 2012
If your Android devices service icons change from white to blue (or green, for older Android versions), the blue mean that your Google services, if you have any, are logged on and sync'd to the Google servers. If you don't have Google services -- like Gmail, Play, etc. -- or your services are not currently connected/sync'd with the Google servers, then the icons are white. Searching Google for the blue/white icon finds explanations in user guides for several straight Android devices. For example; the Droid Razr user guide (pg. 10) says that, "Blue connection status icons (network, data, Wi-Fi) appear when your smartphone is synced with your Google

Whats the difference between all these different types of Tablets ?
Tuesday 11th of January 2011
Whats the difference between all the different types of tables out there ? I see 7 inch tablets that go by the names of APAD, EPED, IPED, iRobot etc etc . I have a 7 inch that runs on Android 1.7 which I bought from Electronic Dealz . Chip is VIA VT8505 ARM926 400-450MHz and it has 256MB memory. Works great for surfing the web, chat etc. Watch youtube and other vids too. I also bought a 10.2 inch from ElectronicDealz. That is more upgraded with Android 2.1 and has better screen quality runs faster and is great for watching high def videos. I notice there are bunch of other tablets out there with varying prices. What is the difference between them ? They all seem to be 256 MB memory and Android 1.6, 1.7 or 2.1/2.2. What else is different ? the chips in them ? Are certain chips better than others - rockport, VIA etc What generally should one look for when buying a tablet ? What specs etc ?

Whats the difference between a Battery pull and power off
Friday 18th of June 2010
I have noticed that on a couple of occasions just powering the EVO down using the power button did not fix my problem. The other day I was having an issue where my POP mail was not receiving every 15 minutes like it should have been. I turned the power off (Hold power button for a couple of seconds chose power off from the menu) then back on again using the power button but this did not fix the problem. I then took the battery out and put it back in and that resolved the issue. Today I was coming in to work and I noticed that my EVO was staying on more than one minute on battery power it should have turned its self off but did not. I checked the settings and it indeed was set to turn off after one minute. I tested again leaving the EVO on for 5 minutes but it did not turn off. I then turned the power off using the power button (Hold for a couple of seconds chose power off from the menu) when I tried to turn it back on it would not turn on at all I had to take the battery out to get it to turn back on. My question is this normal? Do I have to pull the battery every time I need a soft

What's the difference between Task Manager vs Application Monitor RAM Clear memory?
Monday 01st of October 2012
I am new to Android(less than a month) and I confused about Tasks in ICS OS. I have GS III and I don't want to break the home screen button by holding it to get Task Manager so I can close apps. The Samsung Apps had something called "Application Monitor" which has a shortcut to default RAM manager. I noticed when I close apps using that, I increase the RAM but when I hold my home button it still shows up with a long list of apps with "Remove all". Do I have to remove apps from that in order to save battery and RAM? or is it just a list? What's the difference between Task Manager(pull up by the home button) and Application Monitor(open by App monitor widget)? I rather not break my home screen button by pressing it all the time. Thank you.

Whats the difference between PSHAsiaRetail and AsiaRetail
Wednesday 26th of February 2014
Hi guys, does anyone knows the difference between the builds of this 2 ROMS? I soft bricked my phone and trying to recover it thru AP Fastboot + RSD Lite, but when about to choose which ROM should I use, I saw this two available ROM for Asia Retail. Honestly I haven't get a chance to identify my existing ROM if it has PSH or none, but I was pretty sure that it was the Retail version in Asia. Hope you could help me out decide which one to pick.
