process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly solution?
Saturday 26th of November 2011
I have looked around various forums but cannot seem to find a solution.I rooted my phone yesterday using the revolutionary method and afterwards installed super manager to delete bloatware. Upon deleting various apps I now repeatedly get the message "The application Phone (process com.android.phone) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." with the only option to force close. When I force close the message reappears and I am unable to use my phone. I tried a hard factory reset but to no avail. Will unrooting my phone get me back to the original state of my phone straight out of the box? Someone please help I am in dire need. Thanks in advance.
Wiped phone, now process com.android.setupwizard - Force Quit
Saturday 06th of March 2010
I have been trying to make my own theme, so I pulled Launcher.apk, unpacked, it edited some images, used apkbuilder to pack it, then pushed back onto the phone. Rebooted, no launcher starts at all. So I figured ok, I can just use the "Factory Reset" function on the Boot System Recovery menu. Everything seemed fine. When going through the steps to setup (or sign in) for a google account I get, process com.android.setupwizard has stopped unexpectedly... etc. Force Close. Then it restarts the google accounts process again. I have restarted, cleared the cache, done another wipe, nothing seems to change this behavior. Apparently I have completely misunderstood what exactly a Factory Reset/Wipe is because I thought it would just wipe out the standard partition and restore/overwrite Launcher.apk (and evertyhing else) for me... Suggestions?

I recieved the message listed in the subject line I found the following posting which sums up most of my problem. I have read the other postings and they seem do deal with issues with the entire device. My problem is restricted to attempts to send or recieve emails to and from one specific person. Other than issues with this one person, everything seems to work normally. We can communicate using other devicess. She has no indication of a problem from her end, other than her phone running out of power while she was texting me and I was texting her. The probles occur only on my Samsung Infuse and only with her. "I have been looking on the forums, and I can't find anything helpful. I have been using my phone for nearly a year now, with the same Sim Card in it for almost the entire time. This morning after I turned my phone on, it startedd giving the message process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly and each time I pressed 'Force Close' it would come up again. After a while of this problem I tried to go on settings to Factory Reset as I could not see any other option and th

Gang, I believe I accidentally (as a dumb noob) deleted the TelephonyProvider.apk and the Sprint_Promotion.apk apps. I got them on my SD card and have been trying unsuccessfully to reinstall them all night on package installer but I keep getting this wonderful "process com.android.phone" force close message. I managed to get my phone into airplane mode thinking if I disconnected it from the internet I could stop the error messages and do the installs off my SD card but to no avail. I'm trying to do it through Package Installer. HELP

Whenever I reboot my phone android email Force Closes. I can't get it to restart. Consequently, I'm not getting gmail notifications and it's not auto downloading my gmail to my phone. I can manually open up my gmail account and refresh it to download my emails, but it doesn't download them automatically like it used to. I'm currently running superclean 2.8 but had this problem on 2.4 as well
