ZTE “Apache” Smartphone Rumored To Be In Development Featuring An 8-Core CPU

Wednesday 28th of November 2012 /
//As ZTE quietly prepares for smartphone supremacy, it is working on new and cutting-edge devices that makes existing devices look well… outdated. Rumors have surfaced indicating a mysterious device codenamed “Apache” is currently in development and will have a chipset that other manufacturers won’t have (for now)– an 8-core CPU. That’s right folks— not a dual-core chip, not a quad-core chip, but an 8-core (octuple-core?) CPU unit. This chipset will be developed by Mediatek and have a ARM15 MT6599 chip with TSMC’s 28nm technology. The device will come fully loaded too as it will it will have a full 1080p, a 13MP camera and full WCDMA/4G LTE/TD-SCDMA support. This device is expected to be ready for the masses by sometime next year. This sure sounds like the makings of a mighty attractive device, doesn’t it? We will wait and see if there’s any more information that surfaces about the device, but as of now— it’s looking like it should be the world’s fastest phone if it does hold its form. In the meantime, we’

I have searched and come up empty which leads me to believe the answer is no but I will ask anyway. Is there any way to root my ZTE Valet? If not is there an app that will freeze the apps I don't want to run? I just want to set up my phone the way I want it to be and there are a bunch of apps that I want but require root.

ZTE Source (N9511)

Thursday 12th of December 2013 /
Those of you who own the N9511, take a look at the XDA thread! for the phone! We have a preliminary CWM build, thanks to Junkie2100, but it's not 100% yet. We also have root, thanks to Krsmqn. I've also managed to pull our partition table, identify how to obtain FTM and recovery modes, and how to make ADB and fastboot work. The problem is that we have no one working on a ROM yet. I dd'd the boot and recovery images, and used an online nandroid backup app to pull a .tar of the system image. They're available on the thread. We also hope to have a CWM backup of the full, stock w/root system soon. We've submitted a request for our own thread on here, through Junkie2100, and should have something set up soon. Until then, here's the images I have, maybe you folks can have a look and mess with them for awhile?system.ext4.img boot.imgrecovery.imgIf you have any questions feel free to PM me here, or come over to the XDA thread and see what's happening for yourselves. We really need some talented Dev's, and I'm sure we can raise some cash if we need to.

ZTE N9511 development???

Monday 06th of January 2014 /
Just like the title says,... where is all the development for this phone? I own one and have cwm working (Thanks junkie2100!) and am willing to do what it takes to get some work done on this device. I just don't have all the skills. If there are any files to grab, any testing or anything I can do to help things along, I will volunteer my time. Thanks everybody!

ZTE has elected to announce its Nubia X6 smartphone on March 25, same day as The All New HTC One

Friday 14th of March 2014 /
On March 25, HTC will not be the only company announcing its next flagship device. When the dust clears on that date, ZTE will have announced the Nubia X6. The ZTE Nubia development team has sent out press invites for an event in Beijing on March 25. While ZTE does not have a very large presence here in the United States, HTC is likely very frustrated since manufacturers typically respect one another and choose to space out announcement dates. One thing we know for sure about this device is that it will have Optical Image Stabilization technology like the LG G2. Other than that, the Nubia X6 is believed to have a 5.5-inch or 6-inch QHD display and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 processor with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM. On the software side, ZTE is said to be using KitKat with a revamped software overlay.Via: GizChina» See more articles by Justin Herrick//
